Looking for a bit of info first and foremost on these brews (cost/availability), and possibly considering trading for them thereafter. Any help is appreciated! BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - L'exploite Bourbon BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - Porter du Glace BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - Vin d'orge vielli en fut du Bourbon BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - Le Bretteux BdM Blanche du Mur Le Trefle Noir Chernoe Pivo TDD La Bretteuse TDD La Purgatoire Archeoporter
The BdM you listed are brewery only. You can find the prices here: http://brasseursdumonde.com/MENU_PICOLEUR.pdf I'm not sure of the availability right now though. You may call them to see what's available at the moment. Don't waste your time/money tracking the Exploité bourbon, it's not really good. The Vin d'Orge isn't impressive either. BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - L'exploite Bourbon (330 ml / 10,50$) BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - Porter du Glace (330 ml / 12,00$) BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - Vin d'orge vielli en fut du Bourbon BdM La Reserve du Picoleur - Le Bretteux BdM Blanche du Mur Le Trèfle Noir Chernoe Pivo just made a return on shelves I think (at least in Québec city). There's also some bottles left of the first batch at Épicerie Lauzière (Drummondville). I recommend to try it fresh. From what I have experimented, the bourbon fade quickly and there's possibly a cap issue. Price is 12+ $ for a bomber. I probably can get you a bottle if needed. TDD La Bretteuse (Fût de Syrah) is long gone from the shelves. It was around 20$/750 ml. If you can find a bottle, you need to trade for it. It's one of the best beer ever produced in Québec. It has probably changed a lot because of the IPA aspects (probably faded) and the brettanomyces, but I haven't tried it recently. TDD Le Purgatoire Archéoporter is brewery only. A couple of bottles are floating around, but it will be the hardest to trade for. Cheers!
I drank my last bottle of Bretteuse yesterday with montrealbcr89 and it was awesome but totally different than the bottle I drank fresh. Hops faded a lot and brett character is upfront. I've read that it should be back on shelves this winter. The last bottle of Chernoe Pivo i had, a few months ago, was slightly infected... And personnaly, I thought Exploité Bourbon was pretty good!
Newer bottles of the Chernoe Pivo are much better, though overcarbonated. You probably had the initial bottling from last christmas. Liam, if your in Ottawa soon I could check off some from your list.
Wish you luck, been trying to get my hands on a Bretteuse as well. Hopefully they have another batch down the pipeline. The Archeoporter was available for on site consumption only at DDC so that might be tough.
