Mother Earth IS a great brewer... their Endless River has also been one of our more popular offerings. Thanks everyone!

Smuttynose Finestkind, Robust Porter, and Shoals Pale Ale are extremely unappeciated beers that are excellent. I think maybe you should revisit and give these solid and available beers another look.

I would also throw Aviator Saison and Green Man Hand of Doom. Just had them off the tap and both were solid. GM surprised me since I was not a fan of their IPA.

And where are you located? You have to at least give us that.

I wasn't a huge fan of Green Man IPA either, so perhaps I'll look at another of their offerings. As for where I'm located, it's in downtown Statesville, NC. The name of the place is Twisted Oak American Bar & Grill. We opened up in a relatively "yellow" beer small city in Dec. of last year, and we have had a really good response from folks looking to spread their hop-wings!

Which is why I suggested their ESB, I'm not a fan of their IPA either. Also, they do make a couple of good Stouts. If there is anyone at your bar into HOPPY and I do mean HOPPY, like toe curling HOPPY beer, Twin Leaf Brewing's new Pale Ale would do the trick. Not sure if they've hit distribution yet as their just a few weeks old.

If you can pry beer out of Wicked Weed, you can't go wrong. Pisgah Brewing has a lot of nice offerings. If you're looking to start folks down the IPA road, the Kashmir brew from Highland Brewing is solid.

visited Wicked Weed and spoke to the owners back around November and told them we were interested in carrying their stuff. Ill give them a call. That Black IPA they had was great!

I'm moving to NC in a few weeks and will be working in Moorseville. I'll make sure to stop by your bar since it shouldn't be too far up 77. Your tap list sounds great.

Wow! I never thought I would see a craft beer bar in Statesville. I guess NC really is kicking it up a notch. Are you near the JR outlet or whatever it is?

I live in the triangle and have been dying to get my hands on some WW. Any place in particular you found with it? I work like 3 blocks from Sam's Quick shop and when I asked about it, they looked at me like I was an idiot and said WW wasn't bottling. My other shop I go to is Triangle Wine in Morrisville and they haven't gotten it either.

Ok, just an update... here is what we settled on adding.

    1. Lonerider Sweet Josie Brown Ale
    2. Doc's Draft Apple Cider (pear was out of stock)
    3. Mother Earth Dark Cloud Dunkel
    4. Victory Dirtwolf Double IPA
    5. Anderson Brewing Keebarlin' Pale Ale
    6. Foothills Jade IPA
And I have a call into Wicked Weed! I love shopping days!

As for where in Statesville we are located, we are in Downtown Statesville. Hoping to be part of a revitalization of the downtown area here. If you guys/gals are ever in the area, stop in!

Solid choices in my opinion. I'm slightly biased against Lonerider, but I think a brown is a good thing to have. I don't like browns myself, but I know my mom will only drink brown ales, so it'll be a good thing to have for those who aren't big into craft beer.

What? WHAAT? What makes a brown ale not a "craft beer" ? Out of curiosity? I had Wicked Weeds Heresy Brown last night, really really nice brown ale, think its ranked near 4.0 here. Huh?

Edit: You may just be talking about that one specific brown ale... not sure which is why I questioned.

yes, table beer will be an entire line-priced series hosted and distributed by 12% featuring different brewers. It will get distribution wherever 12% goes, irregardless of whether that brewer distributes there normally.

Wicked Weed has only bottled one beer, Serendipity. Draft has been on pretty regularly at Ridgewood Wine & Beer on Wade Ave in Raleigh.

Well you're right. I meant more that specific brown ale. But I guess what I also meant is a brown ale is a great beer to have to on the menu, because for me at least, it was one of the first beer types that got me into craft beer. So it would be a good thing to have on the menu for those who aren't that into craft beer. Does that clarify things? Sorry, I was a bit tired last night when I originally posted that.

Thanks! I'll have to check it out.

I knew they've only bottle Serenity so far, but I was hoping their distribution of it made it to the triangle.
