My wife and I are going up to stay in Seneca Falls New York in the Finger Lakes area on March 20th and 21st. Planning to go to prison City and pantomime mixtures so far. Any other breweries in that area that I should check out? I've been to mortalis and other half, looking to stay a little bit closer to my immediate area.

I enjoyed Grist Iron. Two Goats is across the street too.

Looootta good options up that way my friend. In no order:

    1) Bottomless Brewing: It's in an old milk barn, which is one of the coolest buildings I've ever had a beer in, and they do a nice mix of more traditional styles there. Not the place for hazies or fruited berliners, be warned.

    2) War Horse Brewing: Another one of the coolest spaces I've drank in, it's a huge taproom with a 30s-40s military motif and a taplist of like 20+ beers. They do them all well -- especially the kolsch and NE pale ales.

    3) Fleur De Lis Brew Works: Yeeeet another incredibly cool space. The Finger Lakes traffic in these. The inside is a rustic old barn, the outside has a beautifully maintained southern garden/courtyard vibe with a bunch of lawngames and places to sit. Weather is a crapshoot late March but you may luck out. Beers were very good, too, and so was the variance of styles.

    4) Aurora Brewing Company: Other side of the lake from you but only like halfway down. Stop me if you've heard this before but a beautiful place to drink outside. Taproom is cozy, too. They traffic predominantly in the haze but do it extremely well and always have some very creative options.

    5) New place in SF itself called Fall Street. Look like they aim for more traditional styles but also have a milkshake IPA on. I know literally nothing about these guys though beyond what I just found out on their website.

Two Goats Brewing is about a half hour south of Seneca Falls. Spectacular view of Seneca Lake from their deck. Food is excellent - they offer exactly one beef sandwich, so they got good at it. Oh yeah, and the beer is excellent.
Non-beer drinking wife and I did a Finger Lakes trip a couple of years back, and this was her favorite place.

Stayed at the Grist Iron Lodge for a wedding a few years back. The morning of the wedding, my group did a distillery/winery/brewery tour. Unfortunately, I was a groomsman and had to leave at the exact moment they were getting ready to hit up Two Goats.

The group's favorite brewery was Two Goats, which says a lot since I thought Grist Irom was pretty good.

Still haven't made it to Two Goats or Grist Iron b/c when I'm in the Finger Lakes I stay in Canandaigua -- Those places are a hike from there and if I'm driving an hour I'm much more inclined to hit Steuben for quality of beers in an idyllic setting or Abandon for the ridiculous views.

Been to Grist Iron and Two Goats a couple of years back. Thought beers were solid, but really enjoyed both atmospheres

Also if anyone knows of a good Bottle Shop up that way, any advice would be very welcome!

When you go to Prison City, stop at the Thirsty Pug, a bottle shop with a few taps.
It is walking distance from PC.
A small bit very good selection and well worth the stop.
Tell them their floors are really clean!
    A little local joke.
