I want to brew my own beer and id love to shadow someone in the chicago area for the first time before brewing my own beer. I bought the book by john palmer but would like to see it in action. Msg me for details and i can bring some great beers over for a good night of drinking

Check with your local homebrew store for a club or their knowledge of someone who is willing to be shadowed.

Look into local brew clubs. The ones I have nearby are open to guests and do all sorts of events and brew-ins. Looks like you have at least two close by.

These are all good suggestions, but if you're a visual learner (like I am), look no further than youtube. Some good ones with John Palmer on there, and they're very helpful.

CHAOS have their own brewing facility with several brew setups. I'm sure if you started in with those guys, you'd get to sit in on a brewday on the most badass of homebrew setups.
