Hey, Creature Comforts, Louisiana would welcome you...or even Kentucky, where I currently (temporarily) reside.

The Islamic Republic of Georgia strikes (itself, in the foot) again. How's that "pro-business" Republican legislature working out for y'all?

i'm not from Georgia and i've never been, yet. but when the government screws, you fuck them right back. you move across a border and make a killing while they play with themselves.

at least they still have Walking Dead in the state

It was a ruling by the Department of Revenue, not the legislature.

He is actually right. The legislature watered down the original SB63 "Beer jobs Bill" to get to what we have now and the DOR further clarified this to stop or slow special releases at breweries, probably on the request of Distributors. They are all in bed together. So you both are somewhat right.

So from my understanding of this bill, all a brewery would need to do in order to have a bottle release party is find a live band to play? Then they can say they're charging $XX for tickets to watch the live band and every attendee will be getting x free bottles as a take home souvenir?

There is also talk of people getting to "poke their heads in the barrels/ see the canning line working" and a lot of other things. This is so new, the breweries are trying to figure it out. We should know some things soon hopefully. I have a feeling the rock star renegades at Burnt Hickory will figure a way around this.

The next BHB release will have a live band (Drivin' N Cryin'), so there you go!
