Anything worth a visit for beer (and restaurants with a decent tap list) in Los Gatos or Saratoga area? Staying in Saratoga tomorrow, but trying to avoid heading out any farther than maybe Los Gatos due to traffic around the rush hour time that I'd be driving.

Loma Brewing in Los Gatos any good?

Loma brewing will not blow you away on any level but it will be in close proximity to where you are. It is also owned by a former Oakland A's player.

Your best bet is drive about 7 miles to San Jose and hit the Whole Foods on the Alameda. Best Brewery in town by a long shot!

I think if you're going to drive all the way over there, might as well hit up Original Gravity, Good Karma and ISO beers too. All solid spots with pretty great taplists.

Not sure where you're driving from in Saratoga @walterfredo , but to DTSJ in traffic would probably be a good 30-40 minutes.

Thanks for the info! What would be the best bottle shop on the Saratoga side of San Jose?

Out of the Barrel in Campbell is a pretty close. Moksa, MT, ASB and TRB on tap currently. They had Moksa cans last week.

SWBBQ as someone mentioned is pretty good although tap list is a little weaker now with their beers they make through their brewery: Promised Land. Not saying its bad just not on the same level as what they have on tap usually, Cellarmaker, Pure, SARA. Down the street from SWBBQ is Royal Liquors.

Loma won CA Commerical brewery of the year in 2017, not sure how. They pretty much stick to classic styles and nothing current. Where's my sours, pastry stouts and haze? It's owned by Kevin Youkilis, never played for the A's. Red Sox hero though.

For bottleshop, you want Cask N Flask, not far from LG

Or Maplewood. And if you’re all the way over there, you may as well go to Out of The Barrel too

Blue Line pizza there used to have Bare Bottle brewing crowlers available to go. They still might.
