I hadn’t thought of Tomme in a long time, at one point, he was right up there with Vinnie as far as “beer fame” goes but I guess he’s still running the show at LA. I went to their website and found this video from when Michael Jackson visited Pizza Port, this one also brought back some old memories. I like that Tomme is introduced as a “young upstart celebrity brewer” at the beginning of the video. Congratulations to 20 years of brewing to Lost Abbey! https://www.lostabbey.com/blog/two-sour-brown-beers
I could not make it. So, how was the Anniversary Party? Crowded? what rare vintage bottles were on sale?
It was a bit crowded, but ppl trickled in and out. Best thing available was CCK '11, but they maybe only had 12 -18 bottles of it. They also had Mother of All Ducks too.
Now that the party's over, let's share our favorite Lost Abbey-related BA thread memories from the last 20 years. Anyone remember the one where a guy said he used a lot of his wedding reception money to buy a bunch of disappointing LA bottles and that somehow led to his marriage being in jeopardy and his giant TV's screen getting broken? I can't remember if the bottles were flat and his bride threw one at him and hit the TV, the bottles were overcarbed and a cork shot out and hit the TV or something else, but I remember it being a funny story. I tried searching for it here but came up empty.
