If I were to put together a trade with 1-2 Angel's shares and some tempting (like a Pipeworks BA murderous, CW BA stout or barleywine) but not super-limited (like PW citra or mosiac, or other PW, FFF, etc.) locals, what could I reasonably expect in terms of trade value. Ideally I would like to experience more limited or harder-to-get beers that are not available in my area.

    Thanks for the advice.

$4$ for similarly desired beers. $4$ for beers that you want to drink and can't get locally is even better.

Certainly. I guess my more specific question is along the lines of, for some of the beers mentioned above, what are some of the more frequently traded, lesser-available beers that I might be able to realistically ask for. I would like to try it all (as I'm sure it true of most BAs), but am uncertain of where to start with the few beers that I currently have that are, maybe, worthy of trading.

    Thanks again for the advice.

It's better to have a list of specific beers you're looking to try and go from there. In general, unless it's one of those ridiculous outrageously out of reach (KBBS, VSB, BVDL) or highly sought after (DB Hunah, BA Abraxas, Assasin, BA Mex Cakes), a combo of what you have (limited, but not difficult, some shelf) should get you a combo of limited, but not difficult, some shelf beers not available in the Chicago/IL area.

Take a look at seekabrew.com If you are using Angels Share as your main bait, look and see where Lost Abbey is distributed. Or more importantly, not distributed. And look for beers in those areas.
    Minnesota - Surly
    Oklahoma - Prairie
    Texas - Jester King
    Florida - Cigar City
    Kentucky - Against the Grain
    South Carolina - Westbrook
    North Carolina - Wicked Weed
Just some ideas. But, your going to find some people hesitant to trade for 375ml bottles of LA beers. Because of the cost. IMO.. You would be better off offering up Three Floyds and Pipeworks, because their distribution is more limited. And you might find inexperienced traders like yourself who are looking for these beers.

If I didn´t already have a bunch of trades in progress then I´d be all over getting some Angel´s Share. That one rarely makes it to Europe and I really like it. I´ve had a grand total of two.

I´d say it was an underestimated beer but it gets a solid 95 on here.

I've got my last 09 brandy angels share sitting in the cellar. Last time I opened one was probably 6 months ago, and it was still fantastic at that time. Very complex, just wish it wasn't so expensive.

    I agree--I got it at $17 for a 375, but I figured it was worth a try.
