They just put up the first bottles up on their shop as additional, with BA Serpent's Stout and Veritas Peach.

    Here are some details:

    Veritas Peach:
Veritas Peach, aged in French Oak barrels with Masumoto Peaches for over a year, is a celebration of stone fruit. Initial notes of freshly cut peaches and a tannic oak character lead to a charge of sour tartness and ending with a dry funky Brett finish.

    Bourbon-Barrel Aged Serpent's
    ABV 13.5%
Spending the last 18 months developing its rich flavors in bourbon barrels, Barrel-Aged Serpent's is finally ready to see the light of day. Beginning with a base of The Lost Abbey's Serpent's Stout, this rich ale only increases in decadence after its tasty hibernation. With a robust nose of coffee and cocoa, Serpent's opens up with deep chocolate and oak with hints of vanilla tobacco, ending with slightly sweet figs and a bourbon kick on the finish.

You should probably ask a mod to change it to read 2018, since that is when the club officially starts.

    Thanks for putting this up.

Pretty interesting that Veritas Peach will potentially be a yearly release...don't think they've done that before with the Veritas series. Anyways, don't know if I'll be maxing out on this allotment, but very excited for both.

Also, I'm very curious on the details to come in regards to the release party...

The event on Saturday seems like it'll be a good time. If anyone gets a chance, would you mind posting about it? We were planning on driving down from Santa Barbara, but we've been hit pretty hard up here in the last month and plan on staying here.

    Cheers

Any recommendations for breakfast near LA before the party today?

Typical shot show at Lost Abbey. It’s great that they had an hour early members only event. Too bad all members had to sit in an hour line waitin for wristbands and bottle pickup.

Has anyone else had issues with email/communications with the S&S club. I had been back and forth with emails this them on a issue but now it has been over a week sense my last response. I have asked for update but nothing.

To date, no, I have not had issues with them. I've actually been pleasantly surprised by their customer service with this membership. That said, the two ladies running the club both recently left, so perhaps there are some lumps with the transition?

So, Barrel Night 2018 sounds fun...too bad there's no menu. From year's past, have they typically posted a menu or do you just show up and find out then?

You find out then, as well as what beers they are pairing with. I bought without hesitation because of the lower price point (although I will likely buy the additional 2 bottles of V021), and that Philip is going to be the chef. His creations when he was initially with Cork&Craft were fantastic. His pork belly can't be beat, at least not from others I have had.

2x CC and 1x Veritas: Kriek were included in membership.

Option to purchase 1 more CC and 2 more Veritas: Kriek. $41 each before club discount, which is 10%.
