I was trying to point the OP towards affordable options. Beersel geuze is good and less expensive than, say, Cantillon or Drie Fonteinen, but still significantly more expensive than Cuvee Rene (and not all that much better). Mikkeller sours tend to be very pricey, and in my opinion, not all that great. Which Kriek do you like from them? Spontankriek?

Wine and Beverage Depot in Totowa usually has a good number of Lost Abbey beers.
I would also recommend checking Stew Leonards in Paramus.

True but lindemans fruit offerings are abysmal. I was thinking more along the lines of kriek and frambois from beersel. yes and I agree definitely NOT cheap.

One thing to keep in mind of you're new to LA is that many of their sours are 375's yet priced like bombers.. Great stuff but didn't want you to be caught off guard when you open the box you traded for..

I agree, which is why I never recommended artifically flavored Lindemans fruit lambics, I recommended Lindemans Gueuze Cuvée René, which is a traditional, and very solid gueuze for the price. Tilquin and 3 Fonteinen use Lindemans lambic in their blends...

I went and bought a bottle of Framboise de Amarosa at my lunch break because of this post. Damn Beer Advocate, always making me spend more then I should on beer.

Yea if they can legally ship to your state, Money isn't an issue or you have someone to split up the box with you then you can get some amazing beers shipped right to your door. Shipping usually adds $3 per bottle and bottles are usually $20-$25 each for 750ml.

Obvioulsy it adds up quikcly if your ordering 12 but the do offer some great beers.

You're going to have to pay to play for sure, but for a once a week type of think it's totally worth it.

I agree with the rec for Oud Beersel Kriek and it's really not that expensive.

This here^^^ The classics are much better than the Bruery sours which are more obtainable than Lost Abbey or Russian River. Bruery is overrated in my opinion and your stuck with 750 ml format bottles which cost $20 and up. Russian River is king on the west coast. All of their sours are superb and different from Belgian styles. Lost Abbeys Framboise and DDG are the better offerings from their lineup (have not had Cable Car). Goose Islands new sours will be highly available and should be worth checking out.

As someone who lives in NJ and has scoured many stores, the only Lost Abbey sour that actually makes it to shelves out here is Red Poppy, and that's in the spring I believe. As many have said here, The Bruery sours such as Sour in the Rye, Oude Tart, Tart of Darkness, and Hottenroth are much easier to come by out here, and they are all quite good as well!

Yes they do, I have seen both Kriek and Apricot in Philly. I don't like sour cherries and the Apricot was a bit of a letdown, but they are solid sours.

Have your sister ship you some of Cascade Barrel House offerings. I have had a lot of sours, and Cascade is as good as any in my opinion. Sang Noir and Sang Royale are both fantastic as are Blueberry and Apricot are both really good as well.

Russian River sours are also money. Supplication and Consecration are my two favorites

I believe Corby was referring to the cascade not shipping the beers direct to consumers that they sell on the website.
