I checked the review...from what I can decipher, 2007 was the first batch, mine was from 2010. Any in between BAs?
It's released when the supply of unmoveable, overpriced, flat Lost Abbey brews collecting dust on the shelves grows scarce. So almost never.
This beer sounds like it is so rarely made so that most of us have not heard of it. But what a cool name for a beer.... especially coming from this brewery.
Only ever seen it in the collections of people with connections to the brewery or at special events. A shame. It's an absolutely delicious sour.
Last time it was released (December 2010? Early 2011? Don't recall exactly), it was handled like any other brewery-only release and didn't even seem super crowded, so there's no need to have special connections. They just don't release it very often.
I bought one at the brewery in mid December 2010. I believe they released during their Cuvee De Tomme release. I got it the week after. Actually just drank it a couple days ago. It was pretty good, although not much carbonation.
Yeah, IIRC, that's when they did a partial release on CdT because a lot of the barrels weren't ready...and yet, the CdT they DID release that day didn't really taste up to par. Shocking.
I have been biding my time ... coalescing my strength ... soon, I shall reveal myself and have my revenge.
