I had the Pale Ale and the Stout at the Flying Saucer last Wednesday night. They were very good, and I have high expectations of this brewery.
I'm hearing and seeing a lot of smart , fresh marketing from this group. Everything from the business model, the artwork, the taproom, the recipes, the social media campaign is unlike anything this town or state has seen in craft beer. I hate to say this, but Yellow Rocket Concepts started the Lost Forty venture loaded for Bear. It's a league above what Core and DB are doing right now. This will get interesting. Looking forward to my first taste.
I'm looking to move back home (central AR) soon, and I'm looking forward to what I've seen so far from Lost 40. Subscribed to this thread for updates.
Had the Pils, Pale, Stout, and DIPA at Big Orange a few weeks ago. Really enjoyed them all, and Big Orange is an awesome spot as well. Need to check out the brewery next time I drive through Little Rock.
I tried everything they had on tap this week, and they were all very solid. Red IPA from a firkin was excellent. The food is also outstanding. I had the best French toast I've ever had there yesterday. That is a really nice brewhouse, too. Can't wait to see more cans and more taps onsite.
I had their pilsner from a growler on Easter. It was good but tasted more like a pale ale. Either my palate was off or they poured the wrong beer. It was probably just me because the pale ale would ha've had more citrus or pine.
I thought the pilsner was malty, slightly sweet, and peppery. I'm not really a lager fan, but it was enjoyable.
