Hey BA's! I will be heading down to Louisiana for a business trip and was hoping to find some places to get good brews. I will be outside of NOLA (by the airport and in Houma) and up to northern LA (Monroe and Ferriday). Any suggestions? Either a restaurant/brew pub or store would be nice. Nothing is showing up when I search "places" here on BA. Thanks!
I can't recommend anything for Houma, Monroe or Ferriday but by the airport basically means 20 minutes away from New Orleans in which case my list might help http://www.yelp.com/list/brew-ha-ha-new-orleans If you can't make it in to the city, you might want to check out Lagers in Metairie http://www.yelp.com/biz/lagers-international-ale-house-metairie which is a pretty good beer bar. I like their fries too.
In Houma you should go to The Boxer and The Barrell. I've never been but the owner of Mudbug Brewery recommended it. Nothing in Kenner where the airport is but a quick trip down Veterans Blvd near Lakeside Mall will take you to Lagers like nolabrew said.
