hey guys, i am sure this has probably been covered somewhere but i will ask anyway to get the feedback. i am going to be in Louisville this week/weekend to do the Ironman and was wondering what the better bars and bottle shops are. I noticed that there is some FFF distributed to Louisville so am hoping to get the inside info. Looks like Louisville Beer Store may currently have Yum Yum on draft but would love some suggestions on where to get some good beers for after the race and taking home. Thanks in advance!

Hit up Keg Liquors in Clarksville (right across the river), Indiana gets better FFF distro so finding it up there is easier. Louisville Beer Store is decent but hit up the Holy Grale for better draft selection. Liquor Barn in Springhurst & Middletown have good bottle selections as well.

Whole Foods in St. Matthews had an entire selection of FFF last weekend. They had Yum Yum as well as a few select bombers.

I'd spend most of my beer store time at LBS and Old Town on Bardstown Road. After Old Town, head over to Holy Grale and pop back to see what amazing brews they have on draft.

If you hit up Louisville Beer Store, be sure to head a few blocks closer to downtown and hit up Against the Grain. If you are in the Highlands checking out Old Town, I'd be sure to go to Great Flood and Holy Grale.

Kinda lame and suburban, but the new Total Wine opens on Thursday in the Paddock Shops, might have some specials?

If I were going to be downtown, I'd probably hit up Garage Bar, as well. They've got some gems on from time to time, and great food.

Yes, absolutely go to Sergio's (and make sure you walk all the way through the back). Thousands of bottles and usually some great taps. Especially if you are interested in Belgian beer.
