The springhurst liquor barn in Louisville has been really amping up their beer selection. Currently they have bottles of zombie dust, yum yum and dreadnought to name a few. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I also got some loons there a couple times in the past couple months. There's a great guy that works there and helps be out a lot and can sometimes hold limited things for me. If you are looking for something specific and want his name and info, message me and let me know. They are trying to get the word out about their craft beer selection and I'm just trying to help them out! Cheers!

Spunky - they'll get it, 100%. They're selling it beginning at 9:00 am on Black Friday. Not sure on how much they'll sell to each person. Would think a 4-pack at most.

I'm assuming they've sold out of the Zombie Dust by now?

Another heads up, the Keg has Permanent Funeral bombers as of 8:30 last night. Not sure if they are still in stock.

This is good to hear. Any idea when they get their shipments come in? I just moved up from South FL and getting to know the beer scene.

Seems like mainly Tuesday! And welcome to louisville. Make sure to check out all our local breweries when you get a chance. A lot of good ones here and in lexington!

springhurst LB is the flagship store, and always has the best selection/ highest priority for higher end releases. they were selling KBS by the 4pk and only got two cases, so i'm sure BCBS will be at least 4pk minimums

So I've heard info that the state of KY isn't getting any of the Vanilla Rye BCS bombers. Liquor barn doesn't have it listed also on their announcement for black friday on facebook. Anyone know if this is confirmed?

That's disappointing, as I felt we gotten a decent amount of bramble and backyard rye in the two previous years. This is the one I most looking forward to trying.

You can hop right across the river and go to Keg. That is what I'll probably end up doing.

Still annoying that Kentucky isn't in the mix though.

Also, I think the St. Matthew's store is improving greatly. They have a great selection, but as I understand it, they are unaffiliated with the other stores in terms of ownership.

I know the keg is going to have it, but only 23 bottles according to the event page. And it's luck of the draw not first come, so no guarantee you'll get any. I liked at Liquor Barn you'd get what you wanted, as long as you showed up early enough for it.

Any advice for an Ohio BA staying in Louisville tomorrow night? Food, beer, and bottles? Thanks guys

To each their own. I prefer luck of the draw rather than getting up ridiculously early and wacking the pud in the parking lot (with still no guarantee that you'll get what you want)

Holy Grale. Holy Grale. Holy Grale. And Sergio's World Beers if you have a lot of cash in hand.

It's possible just the Louisville distributors didn't get it. The year goose island released cherry rye bcs, lexington got it but Louisville didn't.
