Love it or Hate it Beers

I'm something of a fartiste myself. With a cupped hand and a little flick of the wrist, I can turn a fart into a brief duck symphony.

 

Do people really despise Storm King? I know a few years ago it was much more respected and reveled, but I think people still like it, just not as much with all the "hype" stouts around.

I personally still love Storm King.

I thought most people loved this beer, at least that's what I've seen lately here.

Yes! The thing is is smells so wonderful. Then it hits the tongue and it's like yikes, too too much flavor extract taste in there.

 

Samichlaus. I actually thought it would be more polarizing but the reviews weight towards pretty favorable. I don't get it. Doesn't taste like a doppelbock to me. Tastes like sweet balsamic vinegar. That's fine on my salad but I don't want it in my beer. Yeeegh. Ettaler Curator, another doppelbock did the same thing for me, curiously.

 

I know, taste is subjective, but I just can't agree at all. Funky Buddha's tasted like cooked bacon with some coffee and was/is pleasant. Vood Doughnut? Raw bacon flavored horror! The Buddha is far superior to Rogue.
