I'm looking to brew a beer close to FW Pale 31.
    6# 2-row
    2# MO
    6oz munich
    6oz C-10
    .5oz nugget 60 min
    1oz centennial 10 min
    1oz cascade 10 min
    1oz centennial flameout
    1oz centennial flameout
dryhop with 1 oz each of centennial and cascade
    I'm thinking about using WLP007
    mashing around 148
Does that sound like a good recipe and something close to Pale 31?

Haven't had Pale 31, but that looks to be a tasty brew in the making. I'd go all MO, though...I'm in to that these days. Also, do you mean 1oz each of centennial and cascade at flameout?

Yeah sorry 1oz of each centennial and cascade. I was thinking about 50/50 of 2row and MO

Yeah, it seems like if you're going to bother with it, you'd want to use enough to impart some of its character. 50/50 might do it, not sure...I've always just subbed MO for 100% of the pale malt in the grist when I've used it. Anybody with experiencing using both care to chime in on how much MO is necessary to impart some character to the malt bill?
