Lower Carbonation Lower Alcohol Beer?

    It's easy enough to knock out carbonation once the beer is in a glass. A spoon works fine. I fiddle with my St. Bernardus Abt until it's down to the carbonation level of cask beer. Then I can knock it back like cask Mild. Obviously only for the short time while my legs are still working.

    You need to do more than just aggressively pour a beer to noticeably affect the carbonation. No matter how much you like carbonation, you're not giving up much of it to get that nice head/aroma, which is why it is so commonly done.

    out of curiosity I would love to hear what the typical two beers this guy is drinking while going to town on his xbox.....
