Is anyone going to the three barrel aged release on June 6th from 2pm to 10pm? There is supposed to be food trucks, music, and good new beer.

sounds pretty ambitious to me for a first year anniversary party. First foray into barrel aging and after hearing about quality issues there initially has me skeptical that the stuff will be any good. They had only been brewing for 3 months before they filled the wine barrel and 6 months before they brewed their RIS and filled the whiskey barrels...

Have they had either the belgian tripel or the RIS available on tap previously that people have tried? I'm not able to attend but will be curious how this party goes and what people think of these beers.

Will they be on tap as well as in bottles?

I don't have a horse in this race, and I honestly was expecting mediocrity. I'm only advertising it here because I think it's in the top 10 MN barrel aged stouts that I've ever had.

My sights were set low as well - but man they are solid brews. My guess is if these 2 (Templeton and Bourbon) were able to sit just a touch longer in a barrel - They'd be in the running for the top 3... In terms of BA'ing they are off to a great start if this will be their offerings...

Plus it's always nice to try the same base beer from 2 different barrels side by side...

I was able to land a bottle of each of the stouts. I'm really looking forward to trying them soon.

Both Night Falls surpassed my expectations as well. I liked the Ambler version slightly more. It was definitely the more balanced of the two, with the barrel coming through much more prominent in the Templeton version. I'm glad I was able to snag a bottle of each.

I was going to buy a couple bottles but forgot all about it. You saved me a trip to Hopkins.

I was a lot negative on LTD pale malt anything, but I had a couple today that I think were really good. They could brew stouts, but I think now, they got hoppy beers figured out now. A good pilsner available as well.Their sour program is coming along nicely in addition. I definitely recommend this brewery to people if you find yourself in the west metro. A nice detour from Steel Toe despite the Hopkins downtown road construction.

That, plus all the drivers who don't know how to handle it, making it a nightmare to get too.

Stopped in yesterday and I have to say- they have really got thier popcorn dialed in! Previous batches have been very harsh and way too salty! This batch was much more balanced with the right amount of butter and nicely salted.
    Much nicer on the palate!

Also had thier Pilsner- thought it was very good with a very nice lemon tart. A week ago, a guy sitting near me rejected his because it was unfiltered, would be curious to know what the issue was. I will definitely have it again.

Also had the Octoberfest which just went on and thought it was excellent. Malty, a little cloudy and just a little more hop than you might expect. Very nice.

A couple of interesting items in barrels on display as well, will be watching for those Ina few months!
