had this on tap in ATL. Great beer. Was this canned and did it see distro?

It's only part of their IPA variety pack. Nothing like paying for 9 beers you don't want for 3 beers you do.

Not enough hop supply from what I've been told to go fully into 6pks.

    What hop does it use?

No clue, just passing along the info about availability.

This seems a bit unlikely considering whom they were just acquired by. Also, considering that most of the 'hop flavor' comes from fruit/extract/flavoring/red #40, I'm going to go ahead and call this one a marketing ploy to boost the sales of their core lineup.

You could be 100% right. Sales and distro reps don't always have all the info, or they like to tell other stories, for, as you say, marketing.

They put enough malt in it, that's for sure.

I don't see this one getting out much other than maybe a side project release if they still do them

This is by far my fav beer ever. Amazing flavor and it is a shame the only way I can get it is from the IPA survival kit - 3 at a time! Good news though I have heard directly from the source that the good folks at Terrapin are working on releasing this beer later this year by itself which would be amazing! Only other option for you fanatics of this beer like me is to buy the 1/6 keg from a terrapin distributor that carries it. Looking forward to see this beer released! Comment back I you love it as much as I do!! Happy drinking everyone!! Cheers!
