Hello fellow glassheads! I've found photos of two glasses online from Brouwerij Het Anker (of Lucifer fame.) If anyone is familiar with these glasses, I had a few questions. First off, how big are they, and are they the same size? I imagine them being the same size as the Trippel van de Garre glass I have (and love): Have the Lucifer glasses made it over to the US in any quantity? What is the story with the two designs (older version of the same? special event?) I'm really keen on getting my hands on one of these, and my preference is always to trade, rather than purchase. Are there any of these around? Anyone want to hook a brother up? Thanks, and sorry if this belongs in a different subforum...
The first picture is the most recent glass that I have seen available (it comes in two sizes, a smaller one with no pour line but designed for 25cl draft pours, and a larger one, with both 25cl and 33cl pour lines). The second picture could be a new glass that they have just released, as it looks very similar to a new tap handle that they are working on, but I cannot say for sure.
Thanks for the info. Is the 33cl fill line near the top? I'm trying to get an idea for the size. The Tripel van de Garre glass is huge (fishbowl-like), and can fit a bomber, so I can't imagine we're in the same neighborhood here. Also,I was made aware through BeerMail that there is a more tradtitional snifter-style glass like this available.
The 33cl line is actually only a little more than half-way up the side on the larger glass, so probably the same size as the de Garre glass (I have seen one before but not in a little while so I cant say for sure). The glass on the right is an old Riva Lucifer glass, so pre-2009. The one on the left looks like it is the current smaller glass.
This is exactly what I wanted to hear! So misleading that some sites call it a 33cl glass. Thanks for all of the intel Andrew. Any chance you have access to such a glass?
