I picked up a few bottles at a store in Union County, NJ about a month ago, but I haven't seen it anywhere in NJ since.

I just got a bottle of Lil One (dated Dec 20) out on Long Island. I haven't had it yet, I'm excited to try it.

Last Lunch batch, I believe was Dec 2, and there might still be a couple left at Babylon Bev, but I'm not 100 ercent on that.

Anyone starting to get sick of the prices on Maine Beer? Regularly runs me at least 8 bucks for a 16.9oz bottle. Lunch and Another One are often at least 9.

its pretty outrageous that a localish beer costs us so much...it works out to be like a 30 dollar 6pack!

Everyone's tastes are different, but Lunch is way overrated to me. Then factor in the insane pricing for their beer. I like Zoe and Red Wheelbarrow but the pricing is ridiculous on those also. At $8 a bottle, this is the equivalent of $36 a six pack!!

It's nearly as bad from the brewery itself too. Lunch runs $7 or $7.50 there I believe, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

i can only think of 2 reasons why the prices are so high:
    1. they recognize a high priced beer gives the illusion that its automatically a beer that should be sought after and will therefore help their sales or,
    2. its expensive for them to get all of these ingredients up to maine to make their beer

just thinking out loud who knows

The Maine beers generally run $6.99 at the stores I frequent in New Jersey. It is pricey, but some of them are very good. I recently had bottles of Another One and 2013 (collaboration with Allagash and inifiniti) - both were excellent.

I'm sure this plays a factor in the price.

We told ourselves that if we can’t do things right then we wouldn’t do them at all. To be honest, we really didn’t know if it would work, but because of everyone who buys our beer and all of the great people who work with us, we are actually making it happen. We are always trying to be better at making quality beer, treating our employees well, and taking care of our earth and the creatures that live on it.

We donate 1% of our gross sales to environmental non-profits We support local charities with a portion of our tasting room sales We use high-efficiency LED and flourescent lighting We purchase e-certified wind credits to offset 100% of our electricity. We donate our spent grain to a local farmers. We use environmentally-safe cleaners whenever possible. We have hand dryers and recycled toilet paper in our restrooms. We offer full health benefits and paid vacation for all full-time employees. We have highly efficient radiant heat in our brewery slab.

It is kind of ridiculous, tbh. Not gonna lie, though, when it came out last year me and a buddy drank the shit out of like 3 or 4 batches and, frankly, got a little sick of it, and I'd be lying if I didn't say paying almost $35 for 2 liters had something to do with it. It's unquestionably a great IPA, and I loved the old mean Tom and the king Titus, but it was one and done. The peeper, frankly, I won't buy because of the price.

I don't want to come off like an alcoholic, but I have a family and a mortgage, unless its mindblowingly great, I can't justify spending almost 10 bucks for a half liter of any beer that doesn't at least make me feel feelings. Either tickle my senses or my palette. Lunch is the only real repeatitive buy of there's I've had. I respect what they do beer and environmental wise, but I have to agree with a couple of you.

Oh, the collab with Nogne O, the rye Saison, was awesome, I did get that three times. Again, I paid $10.99 in one place for it. I don't get the rating on this site, I thought it was amazing.

I know it's not NJ but I was looking for some MBC for a guy I owe a box. I came across two of his wants: MO and Mean Tom. The bottles were $10 each. I decided to bite the bullet since he really wanted them. I checked the bottled on date. One was May and one was September. I passed.

It was in and out of my local beer store in a couple of hours about a month ago. Haven't seen it anywhere else since.

For all of you NYC Lunch fans, it seems like some kegs are popping up lately. Astoria Bier and Cheese had it on as of yesterday. Haven't seen as many bottles lately... Not a huge fan myself, but keep your eyes peeled!
