Lunker is pretty delish right now. It'll be hard to not open these bottles.

Did they use Templeton barrels again? The old, awesome, label stated so. This year's label just says "whiskey barrels".

Showed up at the brewery today a few minutes after they opened and there was already quite the line. But I think only a dozen bottles of Lunker left the facility during that time. Excluding the two I bought. I am thankful this awesome beer goes widely unnoticed. I think it is a top 5 MN beer.

I picked up two bottles around 3 with no wait. Looked like every person in the tap room had at least a bottle. First time there, smells fantastic. Can't wait to open one of these tonight. Will any see distribution?

Wow this an amazing beer. Strong toffee and sweet carmel with a very strong barrel presence. Makes BA Bigfoot an after thought. ISO

Nice. I haven't had any of the new batch and haven't had the last batch since it was released in, what, '13? Gonna crack a couple of the past and a couple of the present tomorrow. Should be interesting... interesting and delicious.

Anybody done a side-by-side with the bicycle-delivered version versus the standard?

I messaged them about this...they said they have no plan on bottling this in the future and will just use it as a fun keg to tap in the tap room on occasion.

My buddy brought over a bottle and we did the side by side this weekend. The bicycle-delivered version is far superior. Everybody had their chance...

Not sure - Just know them from twitter. I heard one other rumor about distro too. I'm sure we'll find out in the coming weeks. If you can't get another bottle, let me know & I'll help you out.

Asking my wife to swing by today while she's still in the cities. Should there be some left?

They haven't said on Twitter it was gone yet and in fact, said there was a some left. I think you should be good.

Still have bottles in the taproom. I like before the dawn a lot, but prefer lunker. Never had it before now, but damn it's good.

Steel Toe really makes some nice beers. I grabbed a pour of Lunker on Thurs and was really impressed despite barleywines not really being my thing. The release was very low key and enjoyable. I would love 4 packs of 12 oz Size 7's on 80+ degree days like today...
