Heading down to Lynchburg next weekend for a couple nights and was wondering if there are any breweries/bars/etc. worth checking out. Thanks!

I don't have any recommendations offhand, but I will say make sure you check the status of wherever you are going in Lynchburg ahead of time. With all the rain we've had the last few days there is a fear that the College Lake Dam will burst and if it does, it will flood a portion of the city. Estimates are up to 17' deep within 7 minutes. They are currently hopeful that it is stable and are continuing to further stabilize the dam, but something to just keep an eye on.

    - Apocalypse in Forest is pretty solid.
    - Beale's in Bedford if you are up for a 20-25 min drive. They also have really good bbq
    - Loose Shoe in Amherst not too far outside lynchburg but they are just ok.

A few bottle shops if you may be looking for package stuff then check out Craft Beer Cellar on Wards Road, Pints O' Plenty right beside Apocalypse or Ned's Beer Shop on Rivermont Ave. CBC is probably going to be your best bet through.

Brauburgers would be a good spot to grab a bite with a lot of taps. I think they have around 50. Others I have heard of but not familiar with are Iron & Ale, The Water Dog, Fire & Hops Taphouse, Bootleggers and Rivermont Pizza.
