Yeah I was pretty shocked when I saw how much carb the Regal Rye had when it was poured... still tasted fantastic but seemed strange. The temp of the beer was also very low, had to wait for it to warm up for at least 10 minutes.

The bartender said that it got worse from one direction to the other on one of the rows of taps. I only had the BW and Regal Rye, which were both overcarbonated. This hasn’t been an issue in the past for me at 5H and wasn’t for last year’s Bourbon County event. Here’s the Regal Rye:

I only had the Regal and thought the same thing - seemed a little overcarbed. Didn't have nearly the head you had @tylerk88.

And not to split hairs, but I paid $18 for my pour. Not cheap, but for an aged BCBS, worth buying once.

Wait, one of you paid $20 and another paid $18 for Regal Rye? Or did you both get two different beers? Or does @bruindre know the secret hand shake at Five Horses?

Also, for what it's worth, Northwoods was going for ~$25 for a 10 oz. pour at Hugh O'Neill's.

Also, can you do a flight of all four (BW, Regal Rye, aged BCBS, and '17 BCBS)? Might swing through tomorrow if these are still kicking around and try this.

You mean $15, not $25. Right?

My mule/fiance informed me that there were multiple BCBBW at Whole Foods River St in Central Square earlier today. She got me 2 at $13.99 and said there were a few more still.

Checked after this and can confirm it was $15 for 10 oz. @AlcahueteJ was either mistaken or overcharged. That's extremely fair pricing when a lot of shops priced Northwoods at $25 for a 16 oz. bottle!

Yup, must have misheard one of the guys at the bar. I was debating whether to get the flight or the Northwoods first, and I could have sworn one of the patrons at the bar said, "Northwoods is $25 for a 10 oz. pour, and the flight is only $26...", implying the flight was a good deal.

I thought that price was a bit high for the Northwoods, so maybe he said $15? Regardless, I got a half pour of the Northwoods and then the flight, but I almost never individually check items on a bill for what I pay, because I don't really care that much.

    Sorry about that guys!

It was $18 for 2015 Regal and BCBS, then $16 for 2013 BCBBW and this years BCBS. A flight for all of those was $34, if I'm not mistaken.

In my original post the tilde before the dollar sign should be read as "approximately." It was in fact $18, or $20 after tip for me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Anyone know if all four taps are still going at Five Horses Davis?

Interesting that you had "mule" ahead of "fiance." Good to see you have your priorities in order! :stuck_out_tongue:

I assume "no", but is there any overstock of bottles kickin around anywhere still, like there was at Supreme last year?

I saw 3+ cases at Kappys in Danvers on Thursday, $12/bottle I think.
