I figure it's about time to bump this thread. Any early releases so far, or word on which variants we will be getting in MA?

My local store had bottles of BCBS but they want $20 a bottle so I'll pass.

It’s actually based on your Goose Island sales

Also anyone on the south shore looking, I heard just the regular stout will be making the rounds, no variants. Don’t know if it’s truth, my Budweiser rep told me

Maybe this year, for some areas, but that wasnt the case every year prior. I also know of plenty of stores that dont do quantity drops on Goose products yet somehow manage to have case stacks of Bourbon County.

I was always told it was based on goose numbers but it was also large accounts for the bud distributor. I’m betting both play into it

Oakdale Liquors in Tewksbury already put out its 2018 Bourbon County allocation. BCBS still available at $12 a pop; variants sold out.

Looks like they had Vanilla and Bramble, not sure on others. No idea on variant pricing.

Looks like bottles are starting to pop up in the wild here and there, anyone have any leads?

It seems to be very quiet this year. Anyone hear about variants anywhere? I live just north of Boston. Redstone, rapid, total wine? Those are places that I know had some in the past. I’m not interested in getting in line but wouldn’t mind lucking into a variant bottle sometime during the day

Great question. So far I've seen regular BCBS, Vanilla, and Bramble posted on social media. I find it hard to believe Mass isn't going to get Wheat Wine and the coffee variant. The Chocolate/Orange variant hasn't been mentioned yet. Anybody know anything?

As far as I know ... I thought the nationwide release was regular BCBS, bramble, and vanilla. I might be wrong.

Stoddard's took it off their list and said this... Why would that possibly be the case?

I tweeted at redstone and they said they are releasing info about black friday tomorrow, but made mention of it being similar to the past. In which case I think you'd need to be in line early for a variant. I think they do a whole black friday day with tons of other rare-ish stuff. I was simply looking for a walk in and grab a bottle of a variant low key, probably wishful thinking

Kappy's usually has some as well I think. Typically late morning you can still pick up some variants there if I recall correctly.

Also Hugh O'Neill's typically has variants and vintages on tap on Black Friday. And they last too, I go every Saturday each year.

Five Horses (both locations) and Worden Hall will also have BCBS and Barleywine, including vintages of each.

There's no lines with Redstone. They release beers throughout the day, no notice. They tweet it out and you need to be there when they do.

Short of waiting in the parking lot checking your Twitter, it's luck of the draw.

Marty's in Newton said they'll have Regular and Vanilla. No mention of others.

The state is getting regular, vanilla, and barleywine. Variants are very limited
