Vanilla was quite tasty. All the components worked well without anything dominating,

Bramble rye was just like drinking a glass of raspberry Jam.

The stout nor barrel stood out or particularly featured. It was just an overpoweringly sweet raspberry Infused stout. Nothing wrong with the bottle.

I mean, have you ever had a good raspberry imperial stout before? If not, it's probably for a good reason

OG Bramble was delicious, but I’ve heard that this years might need some time to mellow out. After seeing how 2 years improved Regal, I’m inclined to wait on mine.

I also assume that the fruited stout might not be for everyone.

In total agreement. If you like Robitussin you'll like it though.

Well, I'm in the minority here. I loved Bramble. Great mix of berries, bourbon and stout. More 'quaffable' at under 13% which is welcomed. Still a hammer though...ha! Keep in mind I liked Founders Lizzard of Koz, so maybe my taste buds are out of whack.

Vanilla is fantastic. If it were more limited in MA people would be losing their minds over it.

Vanilla is like drinking straight vanilla extract. Not sure where people are finding any balance. Very little barrel or base beer, just artificial tasting vanilla. Wasn't terrible but doesn't hold a candle to the marshmallow goodness of vanilla rye.

I'll admit that I actually enjoyed the orange, so maybe I am also broken.

    Orange was solid. Agree there.

The two Vanillas I've enjoyed had an earthy quality to the vanilla. Maybe I need to try another?!?! Either way, I've enjoyed the first couple.

Sorry not saying I didn't enjoy the vanilla, just very in your face with the vanilla and did not taste like any beans went anywhere near that beer. I love vanilla.

Sounds like you guys just prefer different things, and have different palates. It happens.

If anyone is still looking for Vanilla, Hugh O'Neill's in Malden still has bottles on their menu for on site consumption. Price has now dropped to $36 from what it once was.

(Also have CBS, Lagunitas Willetized '16, Epic 3X Barrel on draft...)
