I am going to be driving back from Maine on a Thursday. I wanna stay the night near a brewery with a large tap selection, open til atleast 10pm and an overall good quality brewery Also take home beer would be nice. I was looking at Jacks Abbey and Nightshift. Does anyone have any better suggestions?

The La Quinta Inn in Somerville MA is a 5 min drive/Uber to Night Shift (and walking distance to the Slumbrew beer garden). Or, depending on your route, you might want to stay in Worcester MA - you can hit Wormtown Brewery until 9pm on a Thurs and then head to Armsby Abbey or Dive Bar. Enjoy your trip!

I'd definitely stay near night shift. I usually start at mystic then at closing head over to night shift.

    It's a pretty good evening

Portsmouth Brewing Company in Portsmouth NH (15 minutes from Mass border) is great as well. First, Portsmouth is a beautiful little city, plenty to do in the area (thirsty moose is a great bar to cap the night, over 100 beers on tap). PBC is also the brewery that eventually blossomed into Smuttynose, which is cool. Last the food is exceptional and everything is VERY well priced. Beer is great as well. Personally I'd say this is the best option as it is right off rt. 95 on your way back from Maine.

I'm seconding Armsby Abbey in Worcester as another option. Always have Hill Farmstead beers on tap for a good price, the food is a little pricier though but there are affordable options and everything is really good there. Its not a brewery, though, its just a bar but has by far the best selection.

Another one I haven't seen mentioned is Cambridge Brewing company, food and beer are both great, not far from other Boston destinations such as Trillium and Night Shift or Mystic.
