Is anyone coming out to the grand opening on Sunday, June 22? I've had the chance to try some of their offerings and they make some REALLY good & true British cask beers. They're going to have 6x cask engines going at a time and 3x CO2 taps on to compare cask to non-cask. Grand opening is from 12PM-8PM with plenty of food trucks that day. Nice to see a brewery (especially a unique one) finally opening in Van Nuys.

I plan to attend with my wife and a few other friends. Been looking forward to a brewery with a tasting room in the SFV for a while too.

The cask focus sounds like a great concept to me too, that at least in Socal, is not abundantly prevalent at all. I mean sure a few breweries and bars do casks on occasion, but to me they are mostly just experiments (a regular lineup beer with Mangos added, or some whole cone hops, or maybe rum soaked oak chips) rather than a full time focus, year round produced cask beers. Though I have had some amazing casks over the years from Ballast point and The Bruery.

I'm also excited about the lower abv of many of their offerings. Considering the uptick in session style beers being produced recently (Ponto’s, go to IPA, just to name a few) that I've personally been enjoying more of as of late, (after so many years of high octane boozy sweet beers), it's a welcome change for me. Per MacLeod FB post, sounds like some good food trucks will be present (soft serve, curry, grilled cheese, etc.) too.

There's definitely going to be some good food trucks coming and I hear even some kilts & bagpipes present.

Stoked on a brewery not making DIPAs and Bourbon aged stouts.

Yea, this place should be pretty interesting compared to the rest of the breweries out there right now for sure.

With 469 people signed up on the facebook page as attending, I'll take a pass on the Grand Opening.
I've been following the progress of this brewery for over a year and am glad to see they finally did it. I'm a big fan of cask ales and I hope to drink my fair share of their beers in the coming years.

Yeah, kind of glad they went this route. There was 600 people on the FB event that said they were going, I was worried about it being just a bit too crowded for a grand opening (though I knew it would be busy) at least this way each session is capped at 200 (assuming all tickets sell per session).

Down to 13 now, Looks like a total of over 450 tickets sold across the 4 sessions. Glad it worked out well for them, looks to be a very succesful grand opening, considering they put this in place just a few days ago. I hope they have the logistics of checking people in (early) going, to get folks tickets, and the line moving, even if they don't pour beer until the sessions start time, since their going by a Will call list. I only mention it based on so many good, and poorly run events, and those type of logistics are more party planning, then beer making, business running, and sometimes breweries are un prepared.
