The only time I drink macro lagers is if I'm out at a bar with friends and it's the only thing available.

I have a couple of French press coffee makers and a small Randall and when I want to see what different things taste like in a beer I will toss some stuff in the French press, pour in a bud or whatever, let it sit a spell and then see what it tastes like. Mich really tastes good when soaked in an ounce of hops for an hour or so. I also use macro lagers to baste with when grilling and they work really well in hornet traps.

It happens when I decide about once a month that I need to stop being a "non traditional college student" (being 22 working full time, paying my own bills, and having an apartment) and I wind up at some party with friends I've made on campus and I always hurt badly the next day.

i mean I'm not oppose to kicking back a few $5 PRB pitchers. Again it depends on the situation.
If im at a house party I always bring a six pack for myself.
But, if I'm at a bar. I tend to follow with the specials.

If i want something to mow the lawn i drink Bohemia or Dos XX no lime required but i will not drink bud after that commercial, never had any problems with them till then clearly they dont want craft beer drinkers business.

I answered never. It's really slightly more than never, as I drank a few cans at a fundraiser last spring. (My average annual consumption of AALs for the last decade can't be more than a six-pack per)

I don't drink AB or Labatt's stuff, but Molson/MillerCoors and Sleeman's I'm pretty okay with. If I want a macro style adjunct lager it's usually old millwaukee orPBR

I'm seriously not trying to sound snobby with this one, but I won't drink a macro brew unless it's given to me. I was at my mom's for the week and she had some miller lites in the fridge. I opened it, took a sip, and had to give it to my little sister because I couldn't down it. Maybe this one was skunked or something, but I just couldn't do it. I went out and bought a sixer of Two Hearted. I feel bad being snobby like that that, but I just can't drink any of the big threes, save some natties at a party.

Macro Lager is a waste of perfectly good water.

I agree with this on some beers. I like Original Coors for what it is, and I can down Asahi and Kirin no problem. But I avoid the light version of any major beer. I was at a party a few years back and the only thing they had was some super cut rate mass market crap and I drank half of it, and asked for a water. I just couldn't do it.

I wish I could say never but sometimes it's all you can get. Third Shift (made by Coors) is as low as I'll go though.

I'll have a Coors or Blue Moon every once in a while. They fit in to a tight budget well and are drinkable still.

I actually enjoy Macro Lagers depending on my mood and the time or place. My top six off the top of my head would probably be in this order.

    1. Coors Original....Has almost a helles lager like impression for me
    2. Grain Belt Premium....Really unique...sweet but not corny sweet...more berry like flavor
    3. Miller High Life or MGD....pretty much the same beer...I usually go for High Life but won't turn down MGD...I finds it malty and grainy
    4. Bud....Spritzy...slight fruity flavor of apples and pears..Back in college I looked down on Bud drinkers but have come to appreciate what it is.
    5. Pabst...corny sweet...sticky....decent weightiness and body...has flavor...
    6. Leinie Original...dryish....more hops than most...

Also really enjoy GB Nordeast and Yuengling Original (when in Florida) but those are different takes on the macro lager..
