Mad Fermentationist Saison Blend

    Honestly never intended this blend to make sour beer, have been surprised by how many reports I've gotten of pH <3.5 (even with some moderate hopping in some cases).

    I hadn't thought about it. Makes sense. I haven't experimented with dry hopping an sours yet, but it's on my to-do list. Probably should pick up a pH meter one of these days, too.

    It's certainly useful. :slight_smile: And decent ones aren't terribly expensive, either.

    That's some complex aroma right there. And somebody really likes flowers...

    Reminds me of John Belushi on SNL naming 3 countries:
    "Belgium... Belgium... and Kansas City."

    I'm straining my brain to come up with substitutes, but the only thing I can think of is Tupelo, which maybe has "floral, "spicy," and "herbs" covered. I'm interested to hear what others come up with.
