I'm going to do a trade with a friend from Madison and I'm looking for ideas on what to trade for. He wants some Short's and other MI seasonals, etc. I'm interested in some Karben 4, but what else is out there that would be comparable on the shelves of a decent store in the Madison area?
Currently in stores (BH and TG may be harder to find): Scream IIPA (NG) Apple Ale (NG) New Glarus fruit bombers Headless Heron (CW) Bedlam (Ale Asylum) Howler (Black Husky) Carnal Knowledge (Tyranena) PseudoSue (TG) Pompeii (TG)
--Most of the Black Husky stuff is good --Bedlam is my favorite thing from Ale Asylum, but some of their other stuff is worth a shot depending on what style you like. E.g. Ambergeddon is pretty damn good and is a bit different. Contorter porter and Big Slick stout are pretty good --We get most Surly stuff now too, not sure if MI gets that --Most of the NG Scream out right now is kinda old, check dates --Central Waters BB scotch ale still around in some places. CW BB stout will be out in a month or two I think. --Lake Louie Scotch ale (Warped Speed, and Reserve)
I appreciate the responses, definitely some I wouldn't have thought of. We don't have Surly in MI. Thanks folks!
