Anyone complete a trade involving this? Offered it up for a BA Abraxas today (yes, I know it's only been a day, yes, I know BA Abraxas is an insta-whale), but got crickets so far. Figured a 300 bottle, limit 1 HF release would be a bit more sought after.

Also curious as to price, limit, bottle count on BA Abraxas if someone would be kind enough to let me know.

Well, I have another bottle, and will most likely be sharing another, so I figure let someone else try it and try something I otherwise wouldn't have the chance to get. BA Abraxas is just probably my top want I figured I could track down with it. If not, there are other things I can seek out.

Appreciate the feedback as well everyone.

I cant figure out myself why mc2 isnt trading well either, it is probably the best stout i have ever had with low bottle count, 1 limit, and one of the best breweries in the counrty, and im guessing wont be made again. Owell, if everybody is in concurrance mc2 is better than ba abraxus, i will keep mine and be happy 2 years from now!

People are probably burnt out on the steady stream of special releases HF has been doing. It's hard to keep track of them and if you arent near a similarly popular brewery with lots of releases there isnt much chance to trade for all of them. Others see 1 bottle limit/300 bottles and say fuck that.

I can understand with most of them, of the last 7 to come out in the last month in a half, all were good, but mc2 really is quite a stud and stands out. Im glad im not the only one who thinks so as well

I only had MC1, and thought it was FANTASTIC! I can't even imagine how good MC2 is.

Have those who've had MC2 so far had the other recent HF stouts? I've had MC1 and GoM and both were quite amazing, GoM especially. I'm interested to see how you guys feel they might stack up against MC2.

Bottle count was too low to create a real buzz, and it was released in conjunction with M&C#1. I got one, gave up a lot but not too much IMO.

MC1 was great, GoM was fantastic, but the level of complexity, roundness, and taste of MC2 blows the others away imo. Best HF beer ive had, as well as best stout ive ever had, i was blown away

I think a lot of it is the way they're releasing them, Midweek and a couple different beers at a time is cutting down on the hype a bit. I mean its tough to get really hyped when they're releasing 2 or 3 at a time every few weeks like they have been. So its not trading for redick things, which is a good thing for people who want to actually drink the here.

Of course MC2 is better than MC1 or GOM. Its simple math. Fewer bottles = better beer.

So would Rare be the EVO version?

It's easier to make big power in an Evo and given the trade value of a Rare vs MC2...your comparison appears to be correct.
