I thought Brodies Only Human 'tribute' was better. Although the RB scores say the complete opposite.

Couldn't agree more, all the hype I was expecting something never tasted before... People were linking their visit to Russian River to the beer saying it's the younger and all that.

This week I have drank fresh Pliny, Heady and Enjoy By and all were leagues above of Un-human

That's not really a like for like comparison though. Un-Human is 12%. PtE and Heady are 8% and Enjoy By is 9.4%.

I don't think Pliny is leagues ahead of Cannonball, although Heady does blow it out of the water, as it does with nearly every other big IPA I've ever had.

Enjoy By's uber-dankness does bring it in a fair few notches above Human for me.

We're not quite there yet and at this stage I've never had a problem getting my hands on anything brewed in the UK. Limited/Special release or not. Who knows what the future holds though.

They were charging just short of £12 this year. Sold out in under an hour.

Reports coming in from CBC N1 are that it hasn't been as busy this year so far. No queue at opening this time.

Apparently this years batch is loads better as well.

picked up the Magic Rock - Lervig collab which is now residing in the cellar. Went to launch of Northern Monk - Saltaire Smoked Porter, not bad at all just the right level of smoke and with a hint of cocoa sweetness at the back. Tried both Cask & Keg, Cask was better. Also tried Brooklyn - Williams Bros A Wee Bit which I found too heavy on the Whisky.

A day in York so I managed to visit a couple of bars on my travels, Adnams Red Ale at Wetherspoons, very nice indeed. Also Great Heck Citra and Moor Amoor, both really good.
