I have been critical of Magnify in the past for only doing TIPAs and Pasty Stouts but they seem to have diversified their line up more then ever before! I decided to paste their offerings as per their website today 6/22/22, and I have to say I am pretty impressed. Pilz, IPA, pastry stouts, Sours, Pale Ales, Saisons, experimental stuff like the COLD IPA, even seltzers, wow.

    HOPPY

    MAINE EVENT, 6.5%
It’s back. This was one of our very first hazy IPAs we ever brewed to pay homage to time spent in Maine and New England that laid the groundwork for Magnify Brewing. Citra and Simcoe. $16/4 pack

    ORIGIN STORY, 8%
Collaboration with @mastlanding. This DDH Imperial IPA is hopped with Citra, Nelson and Motueka. We are also sending some of this beer up to Maine and have an event with Mast Landing planned, more info on that to come. $20/4 pack

    SO FRESH SO CLEAN, 6.5%
Cold IPA. This new style of IPA is fermented at cooler temperatures which allows for a more crispy and clean beer (kind of like a lager) while retaining a ton of hop aroma and flavor from the Galaxy, Mosaic, and Columbus used (like an IPA). Let us know what you think. $16/4 pack

    DDH BABYSITTER, 4.2%
It’s back already for a second time this year due to popular demand. This Session IPA is double dry hopped with Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial. This beer has the exact same amount of hops per barrel as out mid range DDH IPAs, but has a lower ABV package. Sometimes we all have to be responsible but want some DDH goodness. $15/4 pack

    SIBLING RIVALRY, 8%
It’s back. This DDH Imperial IPA with Sabro, Citra and Azacca, Citra Cryo, Centennial. $18/4 pack

    CRYO CURRENCY, 9%
Massive Imperial IPA hopped entirely with Cryo hops - Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe Cryo, Strata Cryo. $20/4 pack

    PRIDE, 6%
We brewed this beer to celebrate Pride Month and are donating $1 per can ($4 per four pack/$24 per case) sold to The Trevor Project to support the LGBTQIA+ community. This DDH IPA is hopped with Waimea, Azacca, Wakatu and Amarillo. $17/4 pack

    ON FIREEE, 10%
Triple IPA inspired by arguably the best video game of the 90s. This beer is hopped with the unstoppable combination of Citra, Citra Cryo, Nelson, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo and Sabro. This beer is dialed in, just like MJ in the 90s. $20/4 pack

Magnify is right by where I grew up so I’ve stopped there a couple of times when home visiting my folks, and I’ve generally enjoyed their beers. Had a few surprises that were excellent. That said, the taproom sucks. Right now it’s a cordoned off area of a pothole filled parking lot in a run down industrial park. I think it’s not really their fault, NJ seems to have some pretty whack laws about brewery taprooms. But I’d love to see them upgrade their space to something that would make it a nicer spot to visit.

Haha yeah I remember that too. NJ laws are so weird. The gas thing is bonkers.

When was the last time you went? The indoor is open now I'm almost positive.

I am not sure when was the last time you visited but their Tap Room did get an upgrade not that long ago but it my opinion for the worst! Their tap room used to have this rustic feel with the wood countertops and tables, brick backgrounds and bar stools actually at the bar.

It just felt more personable. Back then they served you in either a small or tall mason jar! It was very cool for a small tap room. But now the new upgrade makes it more factory or faculty like. No more bar stools, now you have to stand, seems more oriented to take out and production rather then a comfortable a tap room experience.

Funny enough I can't find any pics online of their recent upgrade. Very weird, almost seems like they didn't advertise at all, I wonder why?

    Anyhow just my two cents....

Look, I buy Magnify beers quite frequently, especially now that their new releases are at Wegmans, but I’d hardly call their line-up diverse. Almost every beer they make is an IPA, huge stout or big sweet smoothie sour. I wish they’d regularly make more lagers, saisons, and other styles. But we know what sells.

Sounds like I’ll have to visit the taproom again and check it out. I believe my last visit was last summer, and the indoors was closed completely.
