Per their Instagram account, the next Dinner release is on 8/20. I will happen to be up in the area for the release. This has been a beer I have been wanting to try for quite some time. The post says the line will start at 3AM and sales will begin at 7AM.

I have no intention of going that early, but would really like to be able to grab a bottle or two, or at least a glass at the bar. Does MBC typically have it on draft during release days, or just bottles? How quickly do the bottles go? And if on draft, how long do the kegs last? If I go in sometime early afternoon, I'd expect bottles to be gone, but will there be any chance of getting on draft?

    Thanks and cheers!

If you want bottles, getting there at 5 would be my recommendation. They will have pours going on after they open up at regular business hours. If you show up after 7 for bottles, you will most likely be out of luck, especially with the nice weather.

Finally MBC addresses the fiends who find it necessary to drink beer in line in the parking lot at 5:00AM. Do you REALLY need that beer, at 5:00AM?

The last release did taste fantastic though. Hoping this is just as killer.

I'm fine with just showing up for pours. With regular business hours set to open at 11, do the kegs go pretty quickly or do they typically last well into the day? Thanks!

Just trying to plan all logistics since going to be visiting Bissell, Foundation, and Allagash also.

Its not just the 5 AM drinking crowd, but they are killing off the overnight camping crowd as well. Finally!

As a reference, I was at the June release, #430 arrived at 5 AM

You should be good through at least Saturday for pours.

Will be heading back from VT to Boston on Sat 8/20, unable to re-route and make the Dinner release. Probably the closest I'll ever be to MBC when Dinner is offered. I should have Tree House and VT brews in tow, would love to arrange an IP trade for a bottle of Dinner if at all possible Sat 8/20 afternoon/evening in/around Boston with anyone that plans to go to release/come back to Boston same day. PM me. Will post this info in IP trade section as gets closer too.

Why so excited about that? I have never camped out myself but if others enjoy it I can't see why it should matter one way or the other to you.

Because everytime someone on her posts that they are camping out at MBC its followed by at least 2 posts of "Omg, I need to get there so super super early because it will all sell out before I get" or "Omg, people are camping out? I'm never going to get to try Dinner" when in fact none of that was true. I'm not against people hanging out and having a good time, but it perpetuated the hype train on an obtainable (albeit with a little effort) beer. Oh, and also it was totally illegal and thats why it got squashed.

I will be shooting for my usual arrival time, which last time had me further back than ever...I expect I will be even further back this time but am not worried.

I'm considering making the trip. I've never gone to a release like this though. What do people usually do to pass the time? I'm hoping to talk a friend into going? Also, is it commonplace to make trades there? Like trade a bottle or two of Dinner for a couple cans of Tree House/Trillium, etc.?

In the past many people seem to have enjoyed doing a lot of drinking, but that won't be happening this time it seems. I personally play cribbage with my buddy but most people just hang around and talk. I am guessing that some trades take place.

Holy crap, that's insane. Got in line at 6am on the April 2015 release and was waaaaay further up than that and I thought that was the most torturous thing I've encountered, 4 1/2 hrs that time. The other time in Nov 2015 got in line at 5am and was 124th in line, was still like a 4hr wait since I had to wait the two hours before release. Either way your screwed at a dinner release.

Its going to be interesting to see how this logistical change will effect things. A line at the park and ride? Could be chaotic at 3AM....

Did anyone get a ticket for parking on the street at the last release or is someone on Facebook just trolling?

I park on the side of the road every time. In June I was past Cold River Distillery. I've never got a ticket. If someone did, I imagine they were parked like a d-bag, in front of someones driveway, obscuring an intersection or something.

What's the cost per bottle? Is it limit one case per person?

    1 case per person.
It was a little over 100/case - works out to be about 8.50ish per bottle.
