It's really a bad idea to have a limited release beer and then sell it in bulk. A four bottle limit all the time would be better, with perhaps half of what they make going to distro.

Or just do 60bbls and keep the limit the same and everyone is happy. That's what Nate is going to do down at tree house once the new facility is up. 30's and 60's.

Totally agree. I'd even go as high as 12 beers, or three four packs. For Dinner, I think a case denoted 12 beers, right? So make the limit four. That way more people can get some beer. As you said, do you really need two cases? If so, go to the back of the line.

I agree, it'd be great for the next release if they dropped the limit back to 4 so that people who actually drank the beer could nab some.

I can see the point, but I will drink it and the only reason I was able to nab any was due to the higher limit. I could not make the release but a friend of mine could so she was able to get me some. If the limit had been 4 I'm not sure that would have been the case. Expecting people to drive up there and wait in line for 4 pints (essentially) seems a bit much to me...I could see them doing a case limit but expecting people to drive up there and wait in line for 4 bottles seems a bit much.

I would love to see them make this one of their regular beers and start putting it out in distribution, am sure it would still be hard to get but more would have a shot..

I agree with you. People wouldn't line up at 7am for 4 bottles. I think the lower bottle limit would kill the lines and spread the bottles out over a few days. The first release I drove up, was the only person there, grabbed 4 bottles and a sample of barrel aged titus. It was smooth and easy. Granted that was before the hype but I get the feeling they enjoy the crowds and buzz over Dinner.

If they dont put this beer into distribution i am requesting the day off next time they do this brewery release. I havent had a beer from MBC that i havent enjoyed to the max. Especially their ales. Im from massachusetts so getting their other beers is quite easy and because of that ive been able to try most of them. Still on the hunt for their newest a tiny beautiful something tho. Must be selling out quick or the stores near me just havent got them.

But this is a good thing. The alternative has led to, in my opinion, a bad trend in craft beer. Long lines, people hoarding, making a beer that could otherwise be accessible to a lot of people a beer that only a small percentage of people can get, unless they're willing to trade.

It's like the people who go online to get Rolling Stones tickets and have no intention of going to the concert. They just plan on selling their eight tickets for a 100% markup.
