Yep. Getting close to Tree House thread territory here. I have tried to stop clicking on the flags but can't help myself from reading.

Peak BA is definitely someone saying "4pks are usually not $24" and then 76 posts naming all the $24 4pks from random breweries are aren't even ipa comparable. But hey, got 'em!

No, I asked a simple question and you interpreted it as a rhetorical expression of whatever agenda you imagine I have on this subject.

Because they've bottled for so long?

It sounds like they were open to canning once they got the new brewery up and running. I'm not saying this change is insignificant, just curious if I'm missing something.

I heard Vinnie wanted to start canning once he could get the dissolved oxygen level in cans equal to bottles. MBC has said similar statements as to why they wouldn’t go to cans. Obviously I don’t think this would change their minds, but it’s interesting since RR is always brought up in comparison because they bottle in the same format.

Its called Virtue Signaling and is just another form of marketing. You can tell they care about their employees and the environment- they will be the first ones to tell you.

Nothing wrong with marketing, just understand what they are doing.

Please jog back to breitbart with the virtue signaling crap. Especially now that we’re capitalizing. Virtue Signaling™️

What kind of signaling is it when you want your peers to know you're too smart to believe that anyone in the world might have genuinely altruistic motivations?

Virtue Signaling is talking about being committed to a cause without actually doing anything. MBC talks about being good to their employees and good to the environment. In which context do they fail to deliver on those? I think there is a lot of Virtue Signaling in the beer industry but I've yet to see anything that says that MBC isn't exactly what they say they are.

They need a new beer so that every new post in here isn't about pricing: say "Midnight Snack", a barrel aged pastry stout? But then the price of that would be.... oh never mind the pricing discussion will continue. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ironic that use of the phrase “virtue signaling” has itself become a kind of virtue signaling (though what its use signals can only loosely be described as a virtue).

Tasting notes would be something along the lines of "hints of beating a dead horse". Granted I've beaten that horse way too much in this thread.

virtue signaling isn't limited merely to the "doesn't actually do the work" crowd. It's really any toot your own horn blow smoke up your own ass crowd. You can do good work without telling everyone how great you are (not a comment on MBC - just in general).
