Sorry to piggyback on this thread, but is Dinner release once a year only?

Thanks, is the release season fixed like PtY or is it just random?

One day every 3 months or so, otherwise pretty random.

The last few releases have seemed to be either the weekend of or the weekend before a holiday, so i'd probably peg the next release near the 4th of July.

If you have a car and can get to Freeport, they'll usually have it on tap at the brewery for at least a week or two. Pints only though. Either way, it's worth a try and Freeport is a nice place to visit

Yep that's what I was figuring too. Planning a trip and wanted to try to catch it. Missed the last one. Some reason I think it will be the 25th. No idea why, just thinking it...

    Was at MBC today

Asked about 6/25 date, was told that's the target but not definite yet and that's why it hasn't been on social media yet.

    Cooler full of 5/24-bottled Lunch's

Why would anyone wait in a ridiculous line for Dinner when they can go procure bundles of Lunch with zero effort? I love MBC but will never understand the hype around Dinner. Lunch is better.

Probably because some people like it better than lunch. Might even be some peoples favorite beer.

(controversial opinion alert) I don't get the fascination with Lunch. I like almost all of their other IPAs as much if not more. I've tried it from the source, on tap in restaurants, from the bottle...never once felt like it was anything special. If it weren't so hyped, maybe I'd think of it as a nice little beer, but everyone loses their minds over it. To each his own. *shrug*

Dinner, on the other hand, is sensational and, dare I say, almost worth the wait in line. Maybe.

Nothing controversial there. Another One and Mo all day over lunch. It was something special for a period then the IPA world passed it by. Its still good but not anything to seek out. The people still seeking it will figure that out in time too.

Lunch was one of the original to hit when the big juicier IPA craze started.

    Heady
    Double S
    Lunch
    Hill Farm
    etc...

Basically it was good timing in the NH, Maine area as they caught a new trend and made a stand out IPA in an area that was dying for one. This shit came out years ago, and timing was just right. Now if you put out Lunch today among all the other stuff in Maine it would do well but not quite have the impact and lure that it does now. I also have always felt that the name itself adds to the mystery for people. But if I'm at a bar and its on tap, most often its my go to unless there is something better, which in our seacoast area is typically Bissell, Foundation, etc. I avoid buying it in the bottle Even a day or two old I think it just doesn't taste as good. Very few bottles have ever been as expected for me over the years. Other people have commented the same.
