I really don't understand this except to chalk it up to different tastes...I have had at least a bottle or two from most of the Dinner releases, from the first one to the last one, and I find it to be one of the most consistent beers out there. It is for sure overpriced, as many have said, but it remains a damn tasty beer to me and worth the expense a few times a year.

ever since people weren't required to camp out in 20 below weather, the recipe has really gone downhill.

    Good to know Thanks!
We went to Fiddlehead last year while we were at the Vermont Brewers Fest, and got some Cowboy Neal, Second Fiddle and Mastermind. It wasn't a planned trip, so because we typically go to the Alchemist and Hill Farmstead on our way to finish our vacation in Maine or NH we wound up having to buy another cooler at Walmart

It appears tickets for the August release are still available. Sign of demand or the increased production?

Doing the Portland and Dinner thing tomorrow, can anybody tell me if they opened the tap room at 11am the last release? I know they had been waiting until noon on the previous releases but website seems clear they won't hold cases past 11am so thinking they will open at 11.

    Thanks for any info.

I know this is ridiculously late response to this message, but it might help others for the next release.

The answer is that there were many left over even a week after the release, on a Saturday, in August. They're obviously making much more as has been said. I was there the 11th and while the taproom was busy, it was about a 5 minute wait to get a sampler and bottles of whatever I wanted.

The Dinner tasted great both on draft and later in the bottle. My favorite part was the last .9 fl oz at the end.

In short, unless they decrease batch size, there's no reason to think that it will sell out during a release day.

I can also answer my own question, which also may help people in the future. Got up there just after 11 yesterday and the tap room was indeed open and busy with people grabbing bottle and pours of Dinner and others. If anything, I will go a little later next time to let the initial rush die down. The pizza looked great, though we did not grab any, and it appears that they have framing for what I assume will be the new tasting room. That can't arrive too soon as it remains a pain to get in and out with pours and bottles when busy..

not about Dinner. I hardly ever buy Maine stuff at stores but I like to try new ones. Saw "Fall", a low-ish abv coffee stout, and Post Ride Snack, a 4.9% session IPA. Both very fresh. I bought one bottle of each cuz lol maine prices.

It's a shame their prices and packaging sucks, because hot damn do they make good beer. I had Fall last night, and it was a tad thin for a stout (no surprise at 5.6%), but it was quite carbonated which helped in the feel department. Bit on the hoppy side but not too aggressive, the coffee was ever present but not overpowering. Some licorice/anise notes. I really enjoyed this.

And I just had Post Ride Snack after a long day at work. Super aromatic after opening the bottle. Honestly this sounds douchey but it reminded me of walking into Tree House (Monson) for the first time and getting hit with that hop aroma. And it just gets better. The taste is money. Citrus and pine mostly, solid bitterness, dry finish. Just great.

Too bad on the pricing because I'd buy this a lot otherwise. Really impressed.

It's been a while since I've seen it on the shelf but I seem to remember around $7-$9 depending on the store

A little while ago I noticed they have Dinner bottles to go.

When was the last release? Is this going to be a regular thing having it available?

Yeah Fall was def at least $7 and I forget on post ride snack but probably in the $6-7 range.

MO is an all time fave of mine but I never buy bottles because it's alway at least $6.50.

I’ve noticed an increase of their bottles in vt. Lots of places have 4-5 of their brews lately buts it hard to compete at $6.99 a bottle when a 4 pack of heady or focal is sitting in the cooler for $13.50. I’ll still pick up a bottle of Another one when a fresh drops comes but that is about it.

Local place near me in CT will have Dinner on-tap next week. I don't think I have ever seen that before in CT? That's a good sign that maybe some day it may be available on shelves here in CT...That would be nice...
