Won't happen. Maine Beer Company never has and never will care one bit about locals or actually being a "Maine company".

Still blows my mind people are totally ok with a $32 4-pack. Highway robbery. What would the reaction be if Treehouse, Trillium, or Alchemist did that?? The packaging format seems to be blinding people somehow.

I love MBC, but I absolutely agree with this. I wish they would can their stuff, and I wish it was in 4-packs. I'd absolutely pay $16 for a 4-pack of Lunch.

Unless and until we all stop buying and excusing $30+ four packs simply because the pint (+ 0.9 ounces) is in a glass bottle that looks deceptively larger than it is instead of a can, breweries (not just MBC) will continue to do this.

Yeah, Maine sucks for this very reason. Couldn't care less about Dinner, personally.

Is there a reason MBC hasn't switched to cans? I just seems like the most obvious thing to do as far as cost for them and us as well as placating to the current can craze.

I just asked them on Twitter if they were considering a change to cans, or selling 4 or 6 packs, and here's the response:

"No current plans to change our packaging formats."

They are in the beginning phase of a big expansion. Doesn't make sense to make a significant operational change right now. If they don't add canning once it is done, they are just spitting into the wind.

Did anyone else get completely locked out of tickets right now? Sat on the page refreshing constantly, and as soon as they were available, I selected one and hit reserve. It gave me an error that the maximum number of tickets had already been reserved. Crazy.

This is exactly what happened to me. Wish it was a website I trust like BPT. Feels like the website is not ready for prime time if it gives error messages.

I had one reserved, but it kept saying to enter a valid email. I did, but ended up getting bounced. Fun stuff as always.

My first time trying for something like this, and I was able to get through and get a ticket. Pretty pumped. Never been to MBC

My first time trying too and I got a ticket which I'm really excited about. MBC is nice, really clean and cozy inside. Honestly, their labels kinda sum up what the brewery looks like.

For those that did the last ticketed release how busy is each time slot? I just got the email with my time slot and was surprised that they recommended showing up 30 minutes early. I thought the whole point of having the time slot was that you could just show up and not have much wait. I was planning on sleeping a little later and showing up halfway through my allocated slot.

My guess would be they want to get through people as quickly as possible and if everyone shows up at the end of the slot it slows it all down.

The ticketing system was smooth for me and a couple other people that I talked to. It stinks that others did not have the same experience because I thought it was one of the smoothest ticketing process that I've done. Excited to grab some Dinner.

I went on at exactly 12:00 and even though I had to re-register because I forgot my password when I signed up last time (didn't get in)
the whole process took what seemed like forever, but I got a ticket. Got a 7:00 - 8:00 time slot which sort of sucks because I'll be coming from CT

Yeah, I got 8 - 9 and I'm coming from just outside of Boston, but 7 - 8 from Connecticut sucks.

I'm thinking about hitting up Bissell Bros. on the way back down. Anyone have any experience going there?
