Looks like February 18 is a Substance/Reciprocal day, so you can expect purchase limits of 2 4pks of Substance and 3 4pks of Reciprocal unless turnout is enormous. You will be able to purchase your cans and 10oz draft (1 10oz pour or 2 5oz pours) at the same time. Big J's Chicken Shack right next door is kickass.

Obviously the earlier you are in line, the further up you'll be, but the Reciprocal releases don't seem to garner nearly as much attention as Swish. However, I assume a lot of people buying Dinner will do exactly what you're doing.

If you like wild beers, don't miss out on Oxbow's taproom. They always have several bottles available for take-away. You can also do the Industrial Way thing and get a free flight at Allagash, visit Foundation and visit Austin Street without moving your car.

It was pretty smooth last time. They split up the lines into designated pick-up windows. If you show up early, you will be instructed to get in line in your designated pick-up window area. They then split each pick-up window into two lines based on your last name. A-L in line 1 and M-Z in line two. Each is supposed to enter the brewery in alternating fashion. The only downside (if there is one) to this is if you happen to be in a line that is skewed to one grouping of last names. I was in the M-Z line and it was MUCH longer than the A-L line. As a result, this line moved much slower. But they do this to make it easier for their staff to run through the ticket holder list, identify names and give someone their case. In total, it took about an hour to get through the line.

I have 9-10am and my girl has 8-9am this time. Hopefully we can just get in line together and grab them at the same time (even if that means getting there for 9am).

I'll add that this was at 5:30 on a Friday so who ever was bitching about it being during work hours, well we solved that.

Does anyone know what happens if you miss your specific timed ticket window? I was hoping to stick around until they open at 11 and have some Dinner on draft but my ticket is for 7AM pickup. Freeport is nice but I'm not going to go hang at Beans for 3+ hours to wait for a pour...

    2 registers broken

People showing up to the 10 and 11am pick up to sleep in and not caring.

Line for 10am took hour and a half.

Realistically my buddy who came for the ride could have just picked up a case from the pile and paid with no attention paid.(though I would not do it)

Drafts got delayed til 1 then til noon? What?

Get your shit together MBC, your prices are already ****** us. That sucked for a ticketed event.

    BUT

Met some super nice people in line.

Still had fun and that beer kicks ass!

Hope all found joy in the unneeded frustration.

    Cheers!

Had the 8-9am time frame, got there at 7:58, in and out in an hour. Pretty straight forward. However I showed up at Bissell at 1pm hoping to just swing in and grab some cans and a chicken sandwich since it wasn't a swish release and the line was wrapping around the parking lot. Just ended up driving home.

ha! I had fun either way. But we could have been in and out in 30 minutes. Haven't stood in a non ticketed line anywhere that long in forever. The registers killed it and I can say for certain that people in line around us from NY and elsewhere that hoped for a pour at 11 were not pleased ha

I got there at just about the same time, the line wasn't that bad at all.

I managed to get over to Bissell at 10:30 and right after I got there EVERYONE showed up. They went out and started counting people at about 11:15, and already had to tell people that not everyone would be getting cans.

Also stopped by Barreled Souls on my way back home, tried the Tequila Barrel Deep Space, and it was outstanding. Excited to see how it ages.

Is dinner going to be on tap today (Sunday) or is it likely all gone?

Back in my day there was only 1 register and we had to show up at 4 AM in the middle of an ice storm to wait in line almost 6 hours. Y'all young'uns have no idea how good you have it these days with your new fangled interweb tickets and smartphones. :stuck_out_tongue:

Either way, its been like almost 3 years of releases and they still cant get this shit figured out? Why not make the pick up window longer? Or spread it over 2 days?

Being from CT I initially was sort of bummed at my 7:00- 8:00 slot, but thought because of people maybe showing up late it was for the best. I was heading back to the car at about 7:30 or so
After breakfast in Portland we drove by Bissell (around 9:00) and there was one car of guys waiting. We drove back around 11:30 and the size of the line was large enough to just keep going

I'm turning 36. As an adult I know it would be Childish to wait in a line at 4AM, in an ice storm, for beer.

We drove up from CT and had the 7-8 AM pickup window. Arrived at 6:45 or so and was out by 7:30. Was obvious that the assigned pickup windows were only an attempt to spread out the arrivals...they were not checking anything other than names on the list. It was no Tree House in terms of efficiency, but I thought it was fine.

After that, got some breakfast, headed to Bissell (people left cars and started to line up around 10:00, got cans and a pour and then headed to Foundation/Austin St/Allagash for cans, growlers and samples. Hit Barrelled Souls on way home for some bottles. Great weather made the day even better.

Since when did Dinner become hazy? Last time I had it it was fairly clear, similar to Lunch. I just saw a picture of a recent batch and it looks like they've changed it up a bit?
