Liquid Riot Bottling Company is a great stop if you're into beer and cocktails. All their beers and spirits are made in-house. Food is good too!

Based on your Camden/Rockport request. Cappy's Chowder House is a famous chowder spot.

My favorites in Portland are Little Tap House and King's Head for food/beer. There are tons of great options though.

If you are in the industrial way area I always like to stop at Geary's. Pay respect to one of my favorites from my youth and the time I lived in Portland in the 90's. It is an easy stop after Foundation/Battery Steele/Austin St/Allagash.

Lone Pine is one of my new favorites in the city.

I always stop at Barreled Souls on the way in or out. Especially if you like big barrel aged brews.

Since everyone has pointed out the Portland stuff, I can speak to Camden/Rockport since I visit Rockland (15 minutes south) pretty frequently. Oxbow Newcastle is 45 minutes away south and off route 1, that is definitely the best brewery in a 45 minute radius. Also there is Split Rock distillery which serves cocktails if that is your jam. In Rockland, I like The Fog (usually have foundation, oxbow, liquid riot, etc), the Droughty Bear / 40 Paper for drinks and happy hour. 40 paper has 2-3 dollars off draughts and half small plates everyday from 5-7 plus an hour before close.

About 90% of the time they sell out that day, especially in the summer. Rotational offers will last anywhere between 1:30pm-close and substance generally doesn't go past 1 or 2pm (and you want substance). Good luck!
edit: rereading your post, just fwi, they have substance everyday of can sales (friday being substance only)

Thanks! Was able to score Lux and Substance cans yesterday. Stuck around and had a few on draft too. Really digging the fact most places I've been have Bissell on draft too. The B&B my wife and I are staying at has Lux on draft right now. Pretty dope!

I've heard a lot of good things on Bissell, but they have weird hours so I missed them last time I was in Maine. If you want to save money, Allagash had free flights. I went there in July. Good stuff on tap and so worth it. They're near Portland.

Off topic, but we are heading to Portland in a few weeks and staying a few blocks away from Kings Head. I already had it marked as our "night cap" bar, so it's good to hear someone mention it in a positive manner. Cheers!

Two usually overlooked breweries are Fore River, which is only like five minutes from Bissell, and Mast Landing, which is about ten minutes from Industrial Way. Both are totally worth a visit.

Mast Landing has a new batch of Green-To-Green this week and I'm frantically trying to get some stuff done so I can squeeze a trip in.

Mast Landing is great. Someone mentioned Lone Pine which I would second as a place to visit that is a less well known.
