So I just learned that Maine's Lunch is distributed by region in NJ (North, Central, South) and I was wondering if anyone knows of the locations that received Lunch this week and still have some. I got a bottle at Joe Canals in Woodbridge - but at a 1 bottle limit, I'm just not satisfied.

North Jersey follows Hunterdon's release schedule, and as per their announcement, it will be released next week. My shop typically gets them on Thursday. This does not indicate which stores will be getting it however. Youll have to either call and ask or wait and see for that.

Limited Maine bottles are not released to the entire state. They break the state into a few territories, maybe 4, and each new limited maine bottle is released to the territories on a rotating basis. Last week North Jersey got Another One and I believe central received lunch. So in summation, the only way to find lunch is follow your stores on twitter/facebook or however they announce they received beer.

Coincidentally lunch is coming to northeast jersey this time around. Nothing specifically mentioned from the Hunterdon post but he had a 1 in 4 chance to be right and he was. Also some weez around but not sure where that's going.

I've seen several of these bottles around but they're all a month or so old. Is it worth it for $7? I just don't like non- fresh beer of this nature.

Anyone else hear of more NJ Bourbon County deliveries? I thought that would all be gone by now.

1/28 is the current batch. That's pretty damn fresh. Less than 2 months is just fine for an IPA. Anyone telling you otherwise is uninformed. That being said, the newest shipment of flower power we received was 2/18 I think.

I remember having a month-old Lagunitas Sucks in January (bottle date was either 351 or 353 and I drank it in mid January, and for some reason the hop character was almost gone completely in favor of stale malt. I attributed it to age, but maybe it was just a bad batch. I realize not all IPAs fade off so quickly, but some do.

I imagine Maine's products hold up better though. maybe that Sucks was left unrefrigerated for a month or something, or it was a bad batch.

Some of it out there is fresher. The bottle I picked up last Friday was dated 2/13/14. A little over a week old, it was very good!
