It's 11 or 12$ here. You can add a 7th for a tiny bit more. I buy one every few weeks. Nothing earth shattering but they do have 16oz cans too and sometimes a better beer. Pulled breakfast stout and black out stout sone Sam smith and some other things over the last year. Let's be try before I buy a whole sixer. Never put more than two of the same but I could I guess.

    Enjoy

Does my Expedition Stout x 2, Fantamoranga bomber, Ras Soft Citra 11.2oz, Supplication 375 and Citrusness 12oz, stuffed into an Expedition six pack count? $34 six packs...

Back when I lived in NJ, I occasionally scoped out Wegman's Mix 6 Deals. Every once in a while I would pick out some good stuff. Back out in California, I don't really see such deals (mixed 6 packs).

This is my preferred method of buying beer since I prefer trying as many new brews as I can.

Also, I'm envious at some of the set six pack prices I'm seeing here. Only place around here with a set price is Kroger and their selection isn't very vast..or fresh

The craft beer cellar in Westford MA and Nashua, and the Beer Store in Nashua do create your own 6-packs, of which the beers are priced as singles (1/6th of a 6 pack or 1/4 of a 4 pack). Which is nice. Both stores also let you take from current 6 packs as well so there's no limit.

Usually I grab a couple of nice Belgian/German mainstays of mine (Saison du Pont comes to mind) and a few new beers I've never tried, so if the new beers dissapoint I have some reliable fallbacks.

Smart beer stores use it as s way to dump excess supply (i.e. the outdated, run-of-the-mill stuff). I don't know where people are getting Expedition/Old Raspy for these steals, but I'd wager they are in low volume areas. Otherwise, these liquor store owners are terrible businessmen.

That sounds like the way to do it. As long as the 6-pack price is split evenly, it seems like a win-win. They move product and the buyer gets a variety on the cheap.

At House of 1000 Beers in New Kensington ,PA they let you make your own six pack to go and the sixth beer you get costs you $0.01, now your six pack can still be high up there in price depending on what your other 5 beers are LOL

I voted "Rarely" and your experience is an exception in my area. My biggest problem is stores will put the "next to death" beers on the shelf for that really cool "Pick Six". Sorta like playing the lottery, and I'm not a gambler.

As a ticker I love the concept. Many liquor stores in St. Louis and a few grocery stores do, but buyer beware on the dates. I do them when I have time to inspect the dates and for dusty bottles or I might get burned. Craft Beer Cellar in Clayton is a magical place where ANY beer you want you can buy just one or as much as they have. If it was closer it might be trouble!

    Occasionally
I used to frequent the Wegman's mix-a-six section (sixer for $11.99) when I lived in PA, you could usually find some gems in there and they weren't always old either. A couple years ago I got 5 Resins and a Bengali all were uber fresh too! This was back when Resin was a 4 pack, I was surprised there was 5 on the shelf.
Now that we moved down here to Florida there are a lot of places that have a mix-a-six section. Publix uses it as a way to get rid of the old stock. I get around that by swapping out those bottles with one's from the fresher six packs in the cooler.

Also, the ABC Fine Wine & Spirits stores have a mix-a-six section and you are also able to pull from the sixers on the shelves. I don't open the boxed sixers (Sixpoint, Terrapin, etc.) but anything else on the shelf is fair game. I've done it a handful of times and you get a 15% discount on the overall price; since the bottles/cans are individually priced. You just gotta look for those dates.

You gotta love it when 4 packs find their way into the mix-a-six section!

I check my grocery store mix sixer section every time I go now. I've found Palo Santo, FBS, Bigfoot....plenty of decent cellarables. Even when buying everyday drinking beer, it's often a good deal...90 minute is $9.99 a 4 pack in the same store, but I regularly find those singles in the $9.99/6er section, with good dates. Just yesterday I got six Bells Two Hearted Pint cans for $9.99 with February dates; just one aisle over the packaged four packs are $9.99! Makes no sense but I'm not complaining.

Not many places near me offer the option .I do buy singles a lot of the time but have to pay single prices .Last 2 times I bought the equivalent of a mix a six it cost me over 30 bucks each time.

The dates are almost always way to old in every store I've seen mix your own.

You need to go to the G-Will Liquors in Lino Lakes! They have almost 4 doors of singles in their cooler. Also of a half door of IPA bombers cold as well.

My local charges by the beer. For example, a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA is 1.89, while New Holland's Dragon's Milk is 4.29. The singles costs a little mote than the 4 pack of Dragon's Milk which is 14.99. But sometimes they get in Prairie offerings like BOMB! And Okie which are pricier. Okie is 9.99 for a 12oz. One time they got in 12 bottles of Vanilla Noir and had one set aside for me. Make friends with your local

That's not cool, you are punishing the unsuspecting buyer of that 6 pack.

Yup, this is the way it is here too! It kinda defeats the purpose when you want to try a beer and its maybe past its prime. Its a good concept and I occasionally do it in other stores. Most add 10-25 cents per bottle over the regular price, which is fair I guess.
