So you stole some beer then bragged about it on a website called beer advocate. WTF.

I never do myself, and I hate it when others swap out bottles and you end up finding out you have two lemon candy beers instead of the stouts you where looking forward too.

I'm a big fan of mixed sixes. I've discovered some great beers that I wouldn't have otherwise. I don't like experimenting with 4 packs or six packs but I'll try a single of just about anything. It's exciting because I never know when I'm about to discover a new favorite!

I occasionally like to try mix sixes for random styles/beers to drink at home (gotta check the dates when possible though). I prefer only drinking a beer or two a night during the week instead of a bunch, so a mix pack allows for trying a couple new beers a week. Its better to dislike a beer from the mix than to try a six pack of a single beer and disliking them right off the bat.

Stores I frequent have similar programs and they are at both ends of the spectrum. One place lets you take anything from the cooler or off the shelf and make a sixer. Other place has shelves dedicated to the mix a six beers. Can you guess which ones tries to sell all their garbage this way?

Wait, really? I thought they just charged you the price for each single. Is this CBC Belmont?

The bottle shop I work in will sell anything in a single format. We divide the 4/6/12 pk by that, then add 10%. Pretty resonable, but adding a few odd ball things in there can make the price jump a bit.

Based on the markups for singles, I tend to go for straight up 4 or 6 packs. There is a mix a six discount where I shop, but it doesn't cover the markup. However, any size will qualify, so I do hit 6 on rare occasion with bombers and singles together.
