    So, I have made several orders from online retailers for bottles, and have a question. There is a great glass that i wanted to order available from one of the retailers, and I was about to make a beer order, so I figured just add it on to my order, right? Has anyone had any problems with ordering like this, or am i risking damaging the glass in transit? Should I wait and try to do an order with strictly glasses? I am concerned that the weight of the bottles will end up crushing the fragile glass, as the box tends to take a beating on the trip across the pond. Any help/experiences would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    -Mike

    I have never ordered a glass from Belguim in a box but I have ordered beer from them twice;
    They packed the beer better than anything I ever seen. I wouldn't be concerned about the glass breaking.

    I often add a glass to my online orders from Belgium (take full advantage of shipping). I've never had any broken glasses; they are usually packed extremely well.

    Belgiuminabox.com is where I place most of my Belgium orders.

    Typically half of my orders from Etre Gourmet include glassware, have made 3 orders, have never broken a glass. Styles range from tumblers to wine goblets, without so much as a crack.

    My glasses from Etre have survived as well. They're cocooned in bubble wrap and then get an extra casing of cardboard before going in their own compartment of the shipper.

    No broken glass issues with Être (7 orders) or BIAB (3 orders)...most of them contained at least one glass.

    I too placed an order with Belgiuminabox a couple months back, ordered a bunch of beers and Cantillon stemmed glass and sherry taster glass and everything arrived no problem. Glasses were packed inside another box and extremely well padded as were the beers. I would not hesitate to order glasses with your beers.

    Has anyone ordered from Belgian Beershop Leuven aka Best Beers From Belgium? It looks to be on similar to Etre Gourmet and Belgiuminabox in terms of selection and price.

    Nope! I've had a few smooth shipments from them. They just announced yesterday they're reducing shipping costs (I think 10%) for the holidays. That'll probably save you $10 or so.
