Hi Beer Lovers, I'm probably going to make a trip out to Three Floyds in the next month or so. I've never had their beer. I was wondering what I should try and what bottled beer I should buy to go.

Try the zombie dust, Gumballhead, who am I kidding, get them all! Great place and make sure you visit the brewpub:slight_smile:

    Cheers

I want to try Space Ship Middle Finger, can't go wrong with any 3 Floyd's pale ale. If they still have in in a few weeks I might have a growler coming.

Two case limit on carry outs. Plan on going during the week, as weekends have become wait fests. Before you go, check their website for the brewpub tap list, to see their selections of beer to go. The list changes regularly. Have a great time, I always enjoy my visits.

I really love Robert the Bruce, their Scottish ale. I actually think I might prefer that to Zombie Dust but they're both incredible beers.

As for their bombers I just drank Permanent Funeral last night and it was killer. Toxic Revolution is really good too, dark and strong but with a really forward hop presence. At 10 bucks each though I might just go with more 6 packs.

You might also want to consider getting a Teku glass, they're pretty awesome.

3F is a cool place but just be aware sometimes there's a bit of a wait before you can be seated.

Pick yourself up a bottle of Permanent Funeral before it sells out.. It's currently rated a 99 on here. I grabbed one last weekend and regret not buying more.

I was underwhelmed by PF, especially for $10 a bomber.

Agreed, Zombie Dust and Sucks are better in the style. In the Name of Suffering is way better option IMO.

To OP: If Space Station Middle Finger is still on tap get some of that.

Rabid Rabbit should be in bottles when you are there.

I was not impressed with Space Station. With the current taplist, I'd get Toxic Revolution onsite, Dreadnaught 22, 6sof ZD, Alpha King, RtB

Hey. Do they sell carryout on Sunday? For some reason, I thought Indy was dry on Sunday, carry-out wise.

There's a sampler paddle of their standard labels and they'll pour you a half pour of most tap beers if you ask. You can try twice as many that way or get in a good sampling if driving.

Yes to carry outs on Sunday. Small brewpubs, yes, retail stores, no.

Last trip I got a case of Zombie Dust & a mixed case of bombers. If you at all like DIPAs Get some Dreadnaught and at least one Artic Panzer Wolf.

Liquor stores can't sell on Sunday I think, but breweries can. I know I have bought carry out from FFF on a Sunday.

Agreed all around. Space Station is delicious; it's like a more complex version of Zombie Dust.

Could kick myself for not waiting. Went about a week ago, got some beer to go and decided not to wait at the brewpub because of the long wait. Hope Space Station is still on this Wednesday when I hope to go back.

I hope they continue to make Space Station. It's really awesome. I think this would be a great replacement for some of their less popular regulars.

I wish I could get a better understanding of what drives their production plans. I could walk out of my apartment and pick up a 6 pack of Robert the Bruce or Jinxproof from any one of 5 stores within walking distance, I could probably find Alpha King in 2 of those, but gumball is only available every few months, and zombie dust has never seen their shelves. I guess they just want to keep a variety out there, I'm sure there are rabid fans of these beers, but the widespread availability makes me think their brewing time would be better spent on more sought after beers.
