Making Trip To OBX

There's a good bottle shop right off 495 called Norm's. Just get off on 123 west and its in a shopping center a couple miles up on the left. There is a Whole Foods with a great beer selection a little further down the road that you could hit up as well if you want.

You will definetly not see Jai Alai at the TW in Chesapeake, get it in NOVA. As far as TW's go, it is pretty solid but some of the very limited things you will have to ask for (Parabola, Sucaba, etc). Of course as stated, these things will sell out in a day or at most two so I wouldnt worry about it. I know in the past I've checked the website for relatively easier things to find like Enjoy By, but they are not always listed, so I dont know how reliable/current it is.

 

My buddy, who goes to Virginia Beach quite often, loves G&G. Don't know which day of the week you're heading down but, be advised, they are closed on Sundays.

 

You'll have a good shot at getting Jai Alai, White Cracker, and Hopped on the High Seas anywhere in NOVA, Fredericksburg, and Richmond unless something changes with distribution. They all just got a big new shipment of Jai Alai in this week and from what I have seen it doesn't go out of stock for long since they started distributing up here. The Limited Inventory Total Wine puts on their website is just an annoyance and often mislabeled. The one in Richmond easily got 20 cases or more today of Jai Alai that will sit around for at least a month and it is labeled as "Limited Inventory".

Firestone Walker is all over the place with releases. Parabola has already been released for 2014 in some places but VA has typically been seeing a 3 month lag. There will be no official date; completely random and I don't know of any places that get deliveries on a Sunday so you probably don't have a shot.

 

any idea how fresh that new shipment of Jai Alai is? i'll drive up this weekend just for that if it's super fresh.

 

Damn I was just in a store with a fresh shipment, I would have checked for you. One thing that I can say is that every other shipment we've recieved has been at around the 10 day mark when it first arrives.
