    I recently had a Furious in the same evening as Sculpin and Union Jack and noticed that Furious is way maltier than I ever realized.

    Any old IPA becomes pretty malty.

    But I do agree with DFH 90 min as a purposefully good one.

    Great Lakes and Clown Shoes distribution is really only limited in the tri-state area, we tend to get the full range Upstate

    "All-malt" in brewing industry jargon simply means "No adjuncts". Has nothing to do with "balance" or hop flavor/bitterness. Somewhat strange thing for a "craft" brewer to claim, since the vast majority of craft IPAs are all malt but, well, Butternuts...:rolling_eyes:

    Between Bottle Shops and Grocery Stores, the Southern Tier, Central NY, the Finger Lakes, and Western NY. Wegmans, Finger Lakes Beverage Center, C's Discount Beverage, D&L Truk Stop, and Beers of the World come to mind immediately

    I actually thought malt meant the grain bill. I cant believe I've been operating under the false assumption that malt was just wheat and barley and maybe adjuncts like corn or rice. Where did i get that? Jess, I know you know your stuff, having been on here a while. I thought it was a hopless ipa, somehow. What am i not understanding? I was hypothesizing that they dry hopped the beer but there was actually no hops in the boil, so they could actually claim all malt.

    I thought I knew everything there is to know about the schrmimpin bidness wtf. Enlighten me

    Kelso industrial. Should be pretty available to the OP, since it is a NY beer and sits on the shelves here in CT. I wouldn't say it is balanced at all, but definitely a malt bomb, and a pretty decent beer when fresh.

    Odell Myrcenary, Odd Side El Dankerino, Short's The Liberator. All citrus and malt forward, and so so yummy.
